Rated 4 out of 5 by Stumpy19 Good with SPD, but very slippery when wet
I bought these as most do to benefit from both sides of the pedal and they have been very good. I have a short commute and go home every lunch time to walk my dog. I was getting fed up of changing my shoes so many times everyday and these seemed the perfect solution.
I have now had them for 1 year and covered 1800miles with them. The clipless side performs exactly as it should, no complaint there.
The flat side however has been a bit of a love hate relationship for me. They are great for the convenience of just being able to jump on the bike in trainers, but if the ground is even a little damp the flat platform becomes very slippery.
The raised areas of flat side have started to wear quite a lot on my pedals and the edges are now very smooth and rounded, so even in brand new trail shoes I get nervous if it is raining. Just hopping up and down small kerbs has caused me to loose my footing several times and on one occasion I had a painful meeting with the crossbar.
Bearings are still super smooth and they have served me well, but I am about to replace them with Wellgo version with studded flat side. The pedals on my MTB are studded and super grippy, so I hope they will be too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by vasgko2 Good all around pedals
I like the fact that I can use both my MTB SPD shoes and normal shoes with these pedals.
They are good looking (although I would prefer the black color which is unavailable).
They are easy to set up.
They offer a good support for the shoe.
They come with SPD cleats (SH51)
They are a little bit heavy.

Having progressed onto cycling shoes and cleats,I was concerned about being able to unclip in an emergency on UK roads. These pedals fit the bill perfectly. I use the pedal flat when cycling around town when idiot drivers want to cut me up and clip myself in when on the open road.I have road/hybrid and mountain bike and have the same pedals now on all my bikes. The oldest set must be nearly 2 years old and have had a hard life-yes they are scratched but kept oiled they still run smoothly.
I have recommended these to loads of other cyclists

Nice paddle. But wont recommend if you going on a long ride without a proper bike shoe to clip on. If you running on errant, and daily commute, especially in traffic and a lots of stops, perfect paddle. Not easy to flip, the clip side always faces up. So you need to get used to flipping it and check which side is facing up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Great budget road pedals
Bought these for a roadie/wet-weather commuter build as I use SPD for my MTBs. They're better than the SPD-plus-clipon-platform Shimanos I use on my tourer - the tension seems to be set a mite higher than most mountain SPD pedal sets but the platforms are comfy when clipped out and they always seem to end up on the side you want, unlike my other half-and-half SPD pedals. Less chunky than the mountain platform SPDs so perfect for a roadie or a city bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Great Entry into Clipless System
I took up cycling after a 20 year hiatus and this is the first time I tried a clipless system. I researched the systems and decided SPD was for me. These pedals were purchased because they gave me the flexibility of using the system and regular shoes (I have yet to use regular shoes!). Installation was a breeze and after a little practice at home I was confident enough to try it outside. 6 months later still no issues and no falls! Don't obsesses about the weight since this is designed for beginners such as myself. Highly recommended.
