Rated 5 out of 5 by fjavi excelentes calas para quien tiene problemas con desenganche normal

I got the item with missing parts. After writing the ChainReactionCycles on the day I received the item informing them the issue. Their reply was prompt. I got the replacement item 2 days later! No question asked.
World Class Customer Services!! A big thank you to Ryan!
And YES, Shimano Cleats SM-SH56 is wonderful cyclists that wanted to be able to release from the pedals fast and in any direction. Highly recommended!

I'd love to know how people are pulling these things out when climbing. I've got my pedals set to a fairly low tension and have never managed to unclip unintentionally. Even so the whole point of multi-release is that they, you know, release in multiple ways.
These things have saved me from an ignominious meeting with the ground a few times, when I've fought ingrained habits and done stupid things like unclipped my right foot and then needed to put my left foot down. Recently I borrowed a friend's bike and as I went to dismount managed to clip in without meaning to, only to then start to tip over. Pure instinct saw me pull my foot hard, which released my foot and saved me another collapse into the street.
When they wear out I'll certainly replace them.

Recently got a mountain bike and opted for these cleats, I'm pleased I did. I got used to them very quickly and they have saved me from many falls because I can get my foot out of the pedals very quickly.Good solid construction, feels like good quality. Good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Love them
I only recently decided to try clipless pedals. Previously I'd always been afraid of being stuck to my pedals and unable to get off the bike in a hurry, but as I got more into distance cycling decided I needed a solution better than stock platform pedals and trainers. The pedals I bought (Shimano A530) came with the SM-SH51 (unidirectional) cleats, but when I bought my shoes from the local bike shop they swapped the cleats for these.
I've never been unable to get my feet unclipped when I needed to, and when I've needed to get my feet free Right This Instant they have always let go. I always unclip my right foot as I instinctly want to put my right foot down first when I stop. A couple of times that hasn't been practical and I've tipped leftwards, at which point the instinctive pull of my foot from the pedal has always resulted in my foot coming free and me stopping safely.
I'd recommend these in a heartbeat. I see someone previously said they come loose when going hard up a hill. The other day I was pushing 20mph up about a 6-7% gradient (chasing a guy on an MTB) and didn't have any issues, and my pedals are still near their loosest setting.
