Rated 5 out of 5 by MTBAli Great for a Newbie
I decided to try riding with clipless pedals about two months ago. As a beginer i decided to go with the multi release, for obvious reasons. First time out on a 30 KM trip i fell three times, had thexse not been multi release that number would have topped 10. Since then i havent fallen again and i attribute that mostly to the multi release more than me getting better. when i panick and jerk my foot off the cleats give and that the added value with these perticular cleats.
Ive done about 300KM on these so far and tbh i dont relize how i ever rode without cleats. Im much more efficent in my pedalling, no sliping off the pedal, and i benifit from able to pull the pedal up as well as push down whereas before the cleats its only a push.
Ive paired these with Shimano m780 pedals and some shimano M064 MTB shoes.

Ни разу не упал! Даже когда забывал выстегнуться поначалу - в критический момент шипы выстёгивались сами.
Прикрутил самостоятельно, ничего сложного абсолютно.
Чего ещё желать.

Rated 5 out of 5 by deadone just what i needed
after getting myself back into biking and not getting the hang of clipping out. (many falls later) i came across these cleats to replace my current ones.
for me they are perfect.
the added function of unclipping from multiple directions makes me feel more in control
and more confident.
i have the tension on the lowest setting for now, easy to get in and out of them and they have a little play in them as well which helps me.
like some1 else posted these should be offered as a standard option with pedals to all those new into SPD.

I would prefer that these cleats came as standard with the pedals. Although the SM-SH51 cleats work well these gave me increased confidence.

these are good as they release from multiple directions and they have a bit of free movement in them too

I believe the SH56 cleats have the same 4 degrees of float sa the SH51 cleats, but are multi-directional release so you can engage/ disengage by turning your heel in either directon (or by bunnyhopping), while the SH51 cleats only engage from one side.
