Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by OK for a cheap upgrade I bought one of these as a cheap upgrade from the awful mechanical discs on my $200 runabout MTB. It is certainly an improvement, but doesn't have nearly as much stopping power as the better hydraulics. Probably in the same class as Juicy 3.5s. Good, but not great. 06 June 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Decent brakes at a good price This is the third set of these I've had, if you include the original BR-M485 that suffered from leaky callipers. For the fairly low price you're getting a nice, reliable twin-piston brake that has decent feel and is easy to look after. Remember they use mineral oil, which is great! No nasty, corrosive brake fluid to deal with. The only down side I've found is a tendency for the calliper not to stay put on the mount. Maybe the force of the two pistons is not even, I don't know, but the calliper tends to move over and end up touching the disk. They settle down eventually, it's not that big an issue and to be fair my mates have had a lot more problems with their more expensive Avid brakes etc! If you need to bleed them it's quite easy to do and the pads are simple to remove. I've only used the stock Shimano pads, they seem to work pretty well, but there are lots of alternatives available. All of the 'S2'-shaped Shimano/Tektro-style pads fit. Overall a simple, trustworthy brake at a good price. 25 April 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by what a steal! bought these for my girlfriends bike because they where so cheap and where both very happy. quick job to swap the levers/master cylinder over to the right way and sorted. these are the same calipers as whats on my AM bike so i know they are solid reliablty wise. mine are 3 years old and still no probs and one finger braking powerful, though i do run 203`s and have a diffrent master cylinder. but from having a quick blast round they feel very simlar. i would have had to bleed them from new though as they where a tad soft but they would have been fine if i didnt have to switch them and i wasnt so picky bout brakes. 23 April 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cheap Got these at £14.99 Jan sale price. You get a fully functioning brake at this price. Caliper, hose and brake handle all included and pre bled so you can use them straight from packet. No rotor is included but these offer fantastic value for money and are a great budget brake. But theres always a catch! There the wrong way round for standard UK brakes. Meaning the left hand lever controls the front and the right hand does the rear. You could swap these round if you wish and know how to bleed a brake or if lazy like me run them upsaide down! Buy these brakes! even if you dont need them stick them in the cuboard ready for when yours eventuually fail. 05 February 2013

Answer:
Yes, the 'Shimano Deore Brakes BR-M486' would be supplied Pre-Bled and ready to install.

You will just need to order a Rotor and Adaptor as these would need to be ordered separately depending on your required sizing.

Answer:
This brake is currently only available in black.

The set up of this brake is right hand rear. Right hand rear would be the European standard. In the UK we would ride 'Moto' which is right hand front.
