Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Compatability Issue As per other reviews had to grind about 1.5mm from each of the 4 the flats for chainring to sit in the crank arm recess. Other than that a good value product. 19 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by product is great overall Great bit of kit for money, pitty had to file couple mm of shoulders to get it to fit. Had this product before and would get it again. 11 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by SUPER MONTAGE FACILE super facile a monter COMMANDE ARRIVER TRES RAPIDEMENT 13 January 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Unable to mount the chainring on a recent bike As other users I can't mount the chainring becouse of a mm. Useless for me. 03 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Excelente custo x beneficio. Comprei para adaptar um pedivela triplo para duplo 36x24, funcionou perfeitamente. 07 November 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Be careful I've put 4 stars because Shimano made a pointless change to its crank spiders in 2008 which mens that this will not fit earlier spiders - holes are in the right place but "shoulders" on the spider stop it sitting properly. 16 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A bit too big. Like a previous contibutor, I had to file a couple of mil or so of each lug. If you compare this and the M510 ring, there is a difference in the distance between the mounting hole and the inner surface, the M510 being smaller. The M510 would have fit perfectly. This apart, this ring works as it should and lasts really well. 30 June 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Had to file the mount points down too As the reviewer Anonymous (03 September 2011) wrote, I also had to file a mm or so off the mount points to make it fit. If I hadn't had to do this, I'd give them 5* for being hardwearing and good value. 28 May 2012

Hello, I have a trek 6300 from 2010 and now alas the middle chain ring needs replacing. I don't want to replace the whole crank so do you know if this chain ring can be used to replace the one from my Shimano M442 Octalink 44/32/22?
If this one doesn't fit can you recommend a different one?
Thanks

Answer:
The answer for me is that this does not fit. The shoulders are 1mm too long and so stop it fitting to the crank.
In the end I ordered the Shimano Deore M510 Middle Chainring from you CRC and this fitted perfectly.
I have another friend but with a Trek 6000 but with my chain ring found the same.

Answer:
This chainring will likely fit to the crank spider without any problem; but shift gate spacing may cause gear shifting to reduce in efficiency.

A few other alternatives to consider are listed below.
