Rated 5 out of 5 by Отличный надёжный переключатель Отличный переключатель для 3+х двёздной системы для 7-9-ти скоростной цепи. Без проблем настроил на систему 28/38/48. 08 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good quality Easy to fit being dual pull and the cable bolt is on the non drive side, so its not so fiddley to clamp the cable. 10 January 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Spend the extra Good build quality and at a reasonable price, easy to fit and smooth in operation, but would advise buying the SLX for a couple of quid extra. 01 February 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tricky Due to having a cgerman frame, i wasn't sure if this would fit. Having removed the shims and replacing them with the origional factory fit shimano shims it fit clamped firmly to the frame. Quick changing and fairly quiet. As others have said this is a bottom pull! Nice bit of kit at a great price. Deore isn't top of the range but for the average XC who likes to punish thier bike this will do the job! 24 August 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Top pull users BEWARE Whilst I have no problem with the quality of this derailleur it is sold as being Dual Pull and in my opinion this is a missrepresentation. What this derailleur is primarily designed for is BOTTOM pull with a cam and cable retaining guides all part of the aluminum operating casting. To utilise the TOP pull the cable, instead of going nicely round a cam and being clamped at a straight angle, is clamped directly in the clamping bolt and exits at an angle of about 30 deg. Whilst this will probably work for a few years and sort of does the job, in terms of good engineering design it sucks. The forces on the cable at the point of exit from the clamping bolt will cause failure far sooner that if used with a BOTTOM pull cable. You all know about MURPHY'S law - when you need it the most it will fail. I have since spoken to a number of Bike Mechs and they all say this is the norm and I have struggled to find a front derailleur designed specifically (and with good engineering) for top pull. So BEWARE if you are buying for Top pull, prepare to be dissapointed and let down when you least want it. You should always carry a spare cable and tools !!! If anyone knows of a front derailleur designed specifically for TOP pull please let me know. 16 May 2010

WHat is the chainstay angle for this?

Could you confirm that this Front Mech has an 63-66 degree chainstay angle.
I have a Deore M591 which has a 66-69degree chain stay angle and it doesn't fit in the frame

Answer:
Yes, this crankset is compatible with Double and Triple drivetrains, has a max tooth of 44t and the 31.8mm clamp option is what you will require.

The derailleur also has a Dual Pull mechanism so can be set to run with a Top pull or Bottom pull frame design.

The specs only list a Shimano Deore, but I can see there are a few different versions of the deore on your site. Visually I think this is the one but its difficult to be certain.

Answer:
The 2007 Marin Nail Trail uses a low clamp, bottom-pull front dérailleur.

The Deore M590 will not be suitable as it is a top pull model.

The Marin will need a 9 speed low clamp, bottom-pull. The bellow Sram front dérailleur will be fully compatible with your Marin. Select bottom-pull and a diameter to suit your seat-tube.
