Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 10 Speed Road Cassette

Super lightweight 10-speed cassette with a rigid alloy carrier for excellent shifting even under the most demanding gear changes. Featuring four titanium cogs, the new Dura-Ace 7900 cogset has further improved shifting quality by creating a more rigid aluminum carrier unit along with a re-engineered tooth profile. Shimano also successfully reduced the weight of the rear wheel assembly by 10 grams.

Features:

  • Hyperglide sprockets have a computer designed tooth configuration with contoured shift gates, resulting in a crisp smooth shift even under load
  • Close ratio gearing allows a more efficient use of energy through finer cadence control
  • Largest sprockets are mounted on a lightweight alloy carrier to reduce weight and increase rigidity
  • 4 largest sprockets are made from titanium to reduce weight without sacrificing strength
  • Sprockets are extensively cut away and drilled to further reduce weight without reducing rigidity
  • Nickel-plated finish offers hard wearing resistance to corrosion
  • Alloy cassette lockring

Specifications:

  • Sprocket Carrier: Alloy
  • Number of Sprockets: 10-speed
  • Sprocket Material: Steel/titanium
  • Chain Compatibility: Super Narrow HG for 10-speed
  • Weight: 163g (11-23T)

Rated 4 out of 5 by it is a shimano no doubt on it it is smooth and compare to my 105 last, it is so much lighter than it. 15 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Shifts well but expensive I don't understand why there has to be such a big price difference between the dura ace and ultegra cassettes. If it's just a small weight different the Ultegra is better value. This cassette came minus one of its spacers so I had to put it on as such 17 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Always a safe bet I always buy Dura-Ace cassette and this time again I have not been disappointed. This is by far the best quality product we can ever buy. The product is light and incredibly solid. 13 August 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Отличная кассета. Отличная кассета, цепь идёт почти бесшумно, переключение мягкое. Покупаю на Чейне уже вторую. 05 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dura ace for any race Hi I am just an obsessive and passionate guy on cycling I love biking for a long ride the dyra ace cassette is lightweight and fits well on bikes 23 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Calidad Rezuma calidad...peso ligero y perfecto con la cadena shimano hg 7900 10v. 08 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Toothed round thing It's a toothed round thing that meshes with your chain and makes the wheel go around. Awesome. You pay a lot of extra cash to shed a few grams off an ultegra (yes folks! Pay More For Less! It's the future, I tell you). I may just be an insensitive hack, but I can't tell any difference in shift quality over the ultegra, so it's only worth it if you're an obsessive weight wotsit, and simply must shed those extra grams, Dahling. 14 May 2014

Answer:
Will fit correctly for sure ... i highly recommend a Hyperglide (HG-Chain) Shimano makes for use with any Cassettes that use super narrow hyperglide chains because the chainrings are spaced a bit closer than a SRAM

Necessity to change chain

Dear sir

I am currently using a 12-23 cassette. If I were to mount a 12-27 cassette do I need to buy a longer chain. Thanks.

Answer:
The difference between 23 and 27 tooth cogs will be reasonably close, so you will likely be fine to keep using your existing chain, but it's considered good practice to replace your chain at the same time when you replace your chainrings/ cassette to ensure the most efficient shifting.

Hi,
I plan to replace my SRAM PG-1050 10sp 11-32T Cassette with this one. I use SRAM Rival shifters and my chainring is a SRAM Powerglide Anodized 50/34T 10 speed 110_BCD. Can you please confirm this will work?
Also, what chain would you recommend with this set up?
Cheers
