Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautifully engineered rear mech. I purchased this as an upgrade/replacement for a Ultegra 11sp mech that was part of my original groupset. However, I'd upgraded the crankset to DuraAce so I couldn't resist a matching rear mech when they came up in the CRC sale. Fantastic saving over list (and anywhere else# from CRC. 32g lighter than Ultegra #about 16%) coming in at 164g. Only used for a few rides, initially nosier than expected but now it has bedded in it's very quiet and shifts beautifully. The performance isn't twice as good as Ultegra, nor half with weight despite being twice the costs, but it looks 10 times better and ultimately it does shift better. 06 August 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by DURA ACE 9000 11 SPEED DOES NOT WORK With he exception of a race that was won, the remaining 2400 kms on my new road bike were spent at the mechanics. The Dura Ace cassette with thee carbon cluster does not work. the cluster flexes, compresses, and BENDS on itself and the disks (18/19/20) bend. 4 cassettes replaced, then Shimano (aware of the issue) sent a Ultegra. Flexing problem gone, just overall grinding and chain creaking Again 39/18t, 19t, 20t and 53/18t, 19t and 20t. The chain always grinds as if in between gears- intermittently when shifting. Essentially the derailer, chain and cassette spacing cannot make this group work. So far cable replaced (polymer frayed and had to be replaced with regular steel). Chain 3 times, and cassette 4 times. Only 53/12-17 are smooths, and 39/12-17 26 July 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Shimano 11 speed - not very strong! My first rear mech lasted 3 months, purchased another to keep me cycling and that one has the same issue after 5 months! I don't know what isn't strong enough, but the alignment goes (its not the hanger, or worn jockey wheels!) on the tension jockey so the chain runs along side the wheel and the cage. A new item solves the problem (until next time....) Have no options now, purchased my third Shimano Dura Ace 9000 rear mech!! Try another 11 speed setup rather than this! 01 October 2013

Answer: 
Yes; the 105 group features trickle down technology and performance setup from the Ultegra/Dura-Ace 11sp systems, so the shifters/ derailleurs should work together fine.
