Rated 5 out of 5 by great product Great product, everything perfect.................. 19 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great I was sceptical about the octalink design but it has proved to work amazing so far. It also hasn't come lose once yet as my other one frequently needed tightening. 02 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value replacement Bought to replace a square taper bottom bracket which was rubbish, it was easy to fit, it's great quality, already clocked up 60 mile on its first ride and was very smooth no complaints :) 31 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Seems good quality Easy to install, feels like good quality but I havent tried it yet. Only downside is the plastic cup, but for the price il let it slide 10 July 2014
26 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great upgrade Bought this to replace original (noisey) square taper BB on my trek. Fitted perfectly. You need to do your homework before ordering as there are various size options ( frame width at BB & overall width) my frame width is 68m & overall bracket width was 121mm. Fitting is straight forward. Note the non drive side retaining ring (black) is plastic & its threads should not be greased when fitting. the other side can be greased as normal. With the right tools this is a simple job to do. 01 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by What's not to like? So it's not a 2 piece crank? So you can't change the bearings? So what? It's cheap, to buy, easy to fit, maintenance free which means more time riding less time faffing. What's not to like? 04 October 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cheap and works Had it 4 months and hasn't broken yet. Hasn't been put through too much though. 21 April 2010

Answer:
Yes, the ES51 is suggested for the M752 in a 121mm or 126mm spindle length, depending on desired chainline (47.5 and 50mm respectively).

Answer:
Yes, the 'Shimano ES51 Octalink Bottom Bracket' would have the same fitting as the Shimano ES30 Octalink Bottom Bracket, the ES51would be a newer version of the Shimano Octalink Bottom Brackets.

Tools needed

Am replacing my Octanlink Crankset and BB with Hollowtech II set-up. Which tools do I need to remove the Octalink Crank and BB and to install the Hollowtech Crank and BB? Can you provide links to CRC products?

Answer:
am considering switch from Octalink to Hollowtech BB myself.

Tools you need are:

to remove octalink crankset - TLUN74S (remove cups) and Park Tools CCP44 (crank puller)

to fit Hollowtech II - TL-FC32 and TL-FC16 (or Park Tools BBT-9 which combines both)

I search for the Shimano Tech Docs which lists the tools required. You can search on CRC and find these tools quite easily. Good Luck

Answer:
The FC-M430 has a octalink bottom bracket system so this should work fine. The only thing you need to make sure is the correct size is selected. If you need help with this contact us at tech@chainreactioncycles.com

Answer:
You can measure the shell width on the frame and the axle size on the bracket (image below for reference). It is often written on the body of the bracket as well; BC1.37x24 68 113 would indicate an English Thread for a 68mm shell and 113mm axle.
