Rated 4 out of 5 by good value entry level shoe I purchased these as my first SPD shoe for my commute to work and fort-nightly rides along forest tracks. They have been used on a daily basis for over a year and are wearing extremely well. They are comfortable and a good fit. The sole is not rigid and when walking to the café for my coffee they are more comfortable then my hard soled pair. They are not waterproof but dry out easily during my shift at work for my ride home. 03 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent value for money Very nice quality, considering the low price. Comfortable also. 17 February 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by good lightweight summer biking shoe Good all round shoe for the summer . lightweight, grippy sole.not waterproof however. 10 February 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Hopefully I got a one off dud, but 3 rides out and it's falling apart Been out for 3 rides in the Shimano MT33 shoe and a large chunk has broken off the hard rubber sole and looks like it is about to fall off. It almost looked like the rubber was so hard it had no give in it and the first shock would cause it to break rather than flex. Not really impressed. Hopefully ChainReactions legendary service will look after me. 31 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good shoe, light weight, good protection Good shoe almost leisure walking shoe looking. Light weight for MTB shoe. A bit narrow in fitting though. Also laces are as secure or easy to get snug versus other fittings such as Velcro or ratchets 28 January 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by not waterproof I got a large they fit grand On my size 42 shimano shoes, they are not waterproof but do keep my feet much warmer 24 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by chaussures de bonne qualité produit de bonne qualité, solide mais les cales dépassent de la semelle et rendent la marche inconfortable. vis peu solides, ou alors j'ai trop serré lol 08 January 2014

Answer:
They can be used on flat pedals as well. but it would be a good idea to keep the cleat plate cover attached to the shoe.

Answer:
They fit like a pair of walking approach shoes and are quite comfortable with the cleat in place. They can be used easily with a flat pedal.

Answer:
They are not really trail running shoes but due to the softer sole are more comfortable when walking than a rigid soled pair.

Answer:
SH91 are SPD R cleats so are not compatible with any MTB shoe. SPD R require the 3 bolt fitting only found on road shoes.

Answer:
Having viewed the SM-SH91 on line I do not think you could use them. I have used the SH51 and SH56 cleats in my shoes and found them fine.
