Rated 4 out of 5 by Red5 great quality, good price
A good quailty bit of kit, and needed if you have a shimano hollowtech or octalink bottom bracket, just a bit fiddly to get out when you have put it in to the bottom bracket hole, you just have to tilt the bike on its side and it drops out.

This does its job perfectly. Bought to remove Hollowtech cranks as I didn't fancy attempting to use coins. Worked perfectly. Shame I will probably only use it once.

Well I found two one-cent coins from my last visit to the good ole US of A, on the assumption that I could try them before buying this. Really really do not do this. They both bent, and the inner one got horribly wedged into the hollow tube. It has taken me a couple of hours of messing about with metal rods to poke it out again. Having wasted two cents I am going to buy the proper Shimano thing.

Impossible to get your crank off without one of these. Does exactly what is says on the tin. Perfect..

Why screw around with coins when you can add this to your tool kit for pennies! Don't be confused by the picture. It's a lot shorter in real life and fit's a treat.

Bryan, you are a genius! I was going to buy one of these till reading your post. Using 2 * 1 cent coins (using only 1 coin, it began to deform slightly) I successfully removed the RaceFace crank on my Giant VT 2
