Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 35 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought these for a friend based on past experience... I bought these for a friend who needed some pedals but was short on cash. I went for theR540's as I have had them myself in the past and really can't see much difference between these and the more expensive models. Great units for a fantastic price. 07 July 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great entry level clipless These peddles are great for the entry level person who is going from platform or clips to clip less pedals. The bearings are smooth and sealed from the weather making them long lasting and rugged for commuting purposes. The only down side is the plastic plate of the pedal which can get scratched and damaged from repeated clipping in and out. Great pedal. 28 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by este producto tiene buena relacion precio calidad producto bueno, a buen precio. responde bien a las necesidades que se le exige a un pedal 23 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing They're lightweight, easy to fit, excellent quality material and very easy to clip in and out of, very light action 16 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light exit means light exit! If you are worried about going SPD because of the threat of not being able to get out these are the antithesis. If anything they are too easy to escape from! Beginners need have no fear of these pedals. 14 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for beginner My first set of spd pedals, was a little bit concerned about using them and not un clipping at a set of traffic lights and then making a prat of myself. But turns out was nothing to worry about, it actually comes quite naturally. Great price, easy to install and as always A* service from CRC. 26 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excelente custo beneficio. Excelente custo beneficio, ideal para ciclistas iniciantes. 21 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic value for money Other sites offer these for less but exclude cleats, quick delivery. They are coated with a slippery substance so worth cleaning before use. 09 May 2014

Answer:
The light action version is easier to release your foot from, I guess the spring is not so strong. I have light action on my summer bike and standard on my winter bike apart from easier release I can see no other difference.
