Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for a Newbie As a complete newbie I didn't really know what to get. These were an extremely cheap option (half the price of the local bike store for the same pedal). Went on my first ride yesterday and was a little concerned about getting my feet in and out, but I practiced a few times before hit the road. Very confident now with only one ride. Did find they needed tightening up when I got home as they come quite loose making it very easy to get in and out quick. Found standing up and pedaling very good and very responsive. If you are new and looking for something to get you going, you can't go wrong with these. Was going to buy white but read some reviews on here that the white scrapes off quick and doesn't look so good, so I went with the black, they look good! 15 April 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cheap and cheerful (and with a free set of cleats) Bought these for a second bike that I only ride from time to time so I didn't have to keep on swapping pedals. Couldn't believe my eyes when I say the 6 degree cleats in the pack. 29 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good product This was my first time using these kind of pedal but I settled into them pretty quickly and have no issues to report 22 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good I've used these pedals for many years & haven't really had a problem with them until recently. The plastic body covers have worn out very quickly on my most recent set, I've replaced the plastic but still have an annoying clicking sound. Have now switched to spd-sls with metal plate covering pedal body in hope they are more durable. 26 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 18 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to use, easy to adjust, bargin My first set of road pedals, and found them easy to fit and set up. 20 minutes on the trainer and I adjusted the cleats to suit. TIghtned up, and then set about sorting float and tension. 10 minutes later, I was ready to ride out. Havent had any issues at junctions getting my foot out. ONly thing is grease oozing out of the bearing joint, need to keep an eye on that, but so far happy cycling!!! 18 January 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Starter Clipless Pedals Well, what can i say. Entry level clipless pedals. For those who want to try clipless pedals and do not want to splurge a bomb on it. This is the best bet. The design is not that bad as well. Comes in 2 colors of white and black. Highly recommend not to get the white ones, they scratch easy and it is very visible. 01 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best pedals The best low budget and reliable pedals in the market!!! 27 December 2013

Answer:
The Shimano SPD-SL shoes must be used with these pedals; which have a three pin connector for the cleats on the base of the shoe.

There are some recommendations listed below.

Note that Shimano shoes are sized roughly One size smaller than everyday shoes.

I am looking at buying the Shimano RT82 SPD Road Shoes 2014 and these pedals, i then noticed that it only had the 2 bolt attachment and wondered if it was the right one to fit the cleats for these pedals

Answer:
The cleats supplied with these pedals are SPD SL which is the three bolt mounting system.

They will not be compatible with the RT82 SPD shoes as they require the MTB SPD 2 bolt mounting system.
