Rated 2 out of 5 by i have a set of shimano zees and 2012 xts, i have had nothing but trouble with the xts and one of the zees so i can only comment from my experiance of this product. i have had to buy quite a few of these now as i have tried to eliminate all areas of leakage,,,,,, so here goes,,,,shroud nut is made of cheese i have tried to nip it up as tight as possible with a good quality spanner and have rounded 2 of the shroud nuts off, the thread seems slack and allows fluid to weep past it on my 3rd attempt to sort this problem i applied PTFE tape to everything i could and so far so good. if you dont get it spot on straight the olive warps when it compresses allowing oil to weep past it again i used PTFE tape and it seems to have solved the problem. on the banjo end i managed to get some slightly thicker o-rings (same size as the ones on the inside of the split caliper) and this seems to have stopped the weeping from this area. such a shame that such powerfull brakes with superb modulation should suffer from these basic problems. 01 January 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by replacement part Its a replacement part. Its the same as the one that you take off. If you need it- buy it. The guy who says its better than the one you take off isn't right in the head. 01 May 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by these are actually exactly the same as the originals (no they are'nt any stronger). they just do the job. it's well worth replacing these avery time you move yuo hose though, becaust the olives never work the same twice 14 March 2007
Rated 4 out of 5 by My god, someone who can speak English needs to review this thing. It's decent, Shimano quality and it does the job, but make sure you use a good spanner to screw it into your lever - it rounds off too easily. 13 September 2006
Rated 5 out of 5 by These are a hell of a lot better than the once which come with ur hydraulic Disc Brake they are well worth the money and also when ur trying to insert the pin thing make sure u put it in straight because if u dont u will peirce ur cable and need to cut it again and u will just waste ur oil when u put it in i learn't this the hard way though.<br>Any way i think u should get these as they are alot stronger than the original once. 19 October 2003
