Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by More accurately made than the lesser cassettes This fits without any wobble or play on the freewheel. There is also a noticeable weight saving compared to the HG62 it replaced ( which wobbled but lasted for 3K miles before replacing ). As the cog rings can be separated ( not a block of 2 ) it is very easy to service and clean thoroughly. The gear changes are super slick now... use with an SLX 663 Shadow rear mech and a KMC XL10 speed chain. So far I've done 1.6K miles on this cassette and it still appears unworn. I rotate chains, scrub it clean when looking mucky and lubricate every week or so with Finish Line Dry Lube. 20 October 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect cassette for going 1x10 this cassette is cheap but also provides fantastic shifting a durability! will be getting another when needed 06 October 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Smooth and extremely reliable !!! The best cassette I had so far, I did around 8000 km of trail riding and fast Commuting it took a lot of abuse but never failed to deliver perfect feel to it. When the cassette went over 8000 km chain started to slip on 8th gear (most used) but other gears are still running fine even under fast hill climbing. Now I have upgraded my SLX cassette to XT i'll see that goes :) 14 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Typical shimano quality Lightweight, easy to clean and beautifully machined, there's a reason most bikes come with the slx cassette, as a balance of weight and quality, vs price, it's just about spot on 12 September 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the trick Got this to convert my drivetrain from 1x9 to a 1x10 setup. works like a charm. Good value, does the trick defo recommend this. 08 September 2014

Answer:
Hi mate.

Yes that hub will take a 10 speed cassette. Go for it!
Obviously you just need to make sure you upgrade the rest of your drive train to 10 speed too. Chain, rear mech, shifter and depending on your setup maybe a new chainring.

Happy riding

Answer:
The freewheel hub will probably be too short for the wider cassette and therefore the chain- stays will nip things tight. You may need to change the rear wheel for one with a freewheel for a 10-speed cassette.

Answer:
It is generally not recommended to run Mountain Bike components on a Road bike with a Road drivetrain, as the shifting efficiency will not be as smooth. Also due to the gear range on this cassette; it would likely have too wide a ratio for the Max Capacity of your Road derailleur and too large a Max Sprocket/Low Gear for the derailleur to shift up to.

However if you can drop us an email with more information on the 'Microshift' drivetrain that is currently being used on your bike (model number of derailleur primarily), we can surely advise further.

Answer:
I think you'd need a 10speed freehub body too maybe (Shimano XT FH-M/785)
For the cost you might as well just get a new wheel/hub though

Answer:
No; Shimano have altered the pull on their 10 speed MTB shifters and 10 speed MTB derailleurs to improve shifting when riding over rough terrain. This has had the effect of not being able to cross-use 10 speed MTB equipment with Road 10 speed.

One possible workaround is to use a 9 speed MTB derailleur with 10 speed STI if wanting to go to 34T/36T large sprockets - the combination of Road 10sp shifters, 10sp cassette and 9sp MTB rear mech (all Shimano) should work fine.
