Rated 3 out of 5 by 10 June 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rubbish product I had these on a GT Marathon from new. Developed play at the pins so the bike shop replaced them free of charge. Now replacments have done exactly the same. Shimano say it's from people dragging their brakes, I don't drag the brakes!! Rubbish rotors that are not supported by the company making them! 16 February 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by I own this rotors (180mm) for about a year now on the front end of one of my bikes. I use this bike very occasionally(once a month on average). Recently i noticed it developed a play on the connectors, between the centre lock and the rotor( on the splined parts). That's why the 3 stars! Keep this in mind before you buy.Cheers! 03 August 2011

Answer:
These rotors can be used with both sintered and resin pads; the compound to use depends on your conditions - Resin (also known as Organic, Semi-Metallic or in some cases Ceramic) are a more standard, all weather braking material. Sintered (also known as Metallic) are high durability, high friction pads for use under more extreme conditions (mud, snow etc).
