Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the job I bought this to replace a basic shimano chain that had stretched way past its used by date. This one was easy to setup (my first time replacing a chain) and has since been working well. No complaints. You will need connecting pins to connect the chain. 03 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Cassette I added this Ultegra 6500 cassette to replace a worn Dura Ace 7700. Matched it up with a new dura ace chain and with my DA 7700 derailleurs this cassette shifts very very smoothly, like a new bike off the showroom. Supurb Shimano quality as expected. Thanks Chain Reaction Cycles! 18 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Product Good product bought as a replacement for a straight through block giving slightly more range when going uphill. Easy to fit, well pleased with product. 29 April 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Работала хорошо, но недолго Часто используемые звёзды слизались не пройдя и 2000, хотя растянутых и грязных цепей кассета и не нюхала. Может быть мне так повезло с партией? Остальные отзывы на удивление положительные. 08 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 3000 miles I bought the Ultegra cassette last summer I covered abt 3000 miles with it including a 24hr charity cycle event, still running smooth, great cassette. 07 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Todo bien El casete va perfecto, y se agradece mucho tener un piñón de 27 dientes. 26 November 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Shimano Quality leaves a lot to be desired Used to be that Ultegra was a top item. These days I'm not so impressed with them. I only ride 120km a week on my 9 speed bike so I would normally expect to get two years out of a cluster. I maintain the chain and keep the cluster clean. I've only managed to get a year out of this cluster. Seems it's now a better option to buy something cheaper and replace it more often if necessary, but generally I have noted greater longevity out of the heavier cheaper options. 09 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding quality this cassette does its job very well and it looks super cool. you don't need to test it to see that it's a quality product. I totally recommend this. 29 October 2013

Answer:
Yes; Shimano 9sp cassettes and derailleurs are cross compatible. As long as the derailleur has the capacity to cope with the range of the cassette it should be fine (The XT M770 has a capacity of 34t).

Answer:
They will work together fine, just select an appropriate range of gears for your 9-speed drivetrain. I use 9-speed Ultegra cassettes on DH and freeride bikes and they're top value for money at this price, plus there's a wide choice of ratios to pick from.

Yes, the Ultegra will be a good upgrade from your existing cassette. It should last longer, be less weight and smoother. It will be fine to swap.

Answer:
Compatibility is relative to the Derailleur model number and Overall Gear Capacity; however this cassette ratio would not put too much strain on most modern derailleurs.

Hi Andrey, going from one Shimano 9-speed cassette to another 9-speed cassette as part of a Shimano drivetrain should not cause you any issues at all. And the Ultegra cassette is one of my favourite products, recommended.

Replacing a worn out Tiagra cassette, chain and inner compact Tiagra 34t chainring, but having problems with grounding sensations through the pedals (most gears) but also the chain slipping off the inner chain-ring when climbing using 27 & 25t on the cassette.
Shifts smoothly, and chain runs smoothly - so not a stiff link for eg.
Chain-line looks fine. Do note the 'square' cut of the replacement inner chain-ring.(FC4550)
Wondering what might be the problem & what to replace ?
Any ideas ?
Thanks

The 'grinding' issue sounds like it may be a bearing wear problem, however please provide more information to our Technical Department and we will happily try and resolve this for you.
