Rated 5 out of 5 by Top Quality Yep - it's top quality at a great price. Shimano just keep doing it! These parts last for ages as week. 28 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by ok qualità/prezzo Ottima alternativa al Dura Ace anche se pesa un po' di più ma costa notevolmente di meno 27 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top stuff and a great price. Top quality product at a great price. I've never had any problems with it. 27 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice bit of kit Light for the price, way better value than XTR unless you race seriously 23 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Recommended Bought a second hand bike with DuraAce group set however the chain was stretched and required replacing. Decided to start afresh with a new chain and cassette but with the money outlayed on the bike I couldn't afford to replace with DuraAce. The Ultegra series was much cheaper however still high spec and with the usual Shimano quality and reliability. 21 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works as expected! I switched my stock cassette to this one in the 11-23 format for my regular commute. No complaints, but nothing outstanding - It fit perfectly, and does what I wanted! 18 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo molto buono, prodotto consigliato per chi vuole leggerezza senza spendere una esagerazione 16 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Brought for HILLS I was entered into this years etape, i'm not the smallest cyclist and needed more gears as big hills, this 12-30 cassette has worked for me, i've been in Spain doing training up cat 1 climbs for over 2 hours of climbing and it was hard but plodded along. I'm now looking forward to the Etape. 11 June 2014

Answer:
Yes it will be, if you have 3 chainrings you will want to have the 'medium cage' but if you have only the 2 chainrings you may want the 'short cage' option.

Answer:
Theoretically no chainlinks will need to be added or removed as the rear derailleur will take up the slack when shifting over the different ratio's.

Answer:
Hi, you should be okay with the chain length and the derailleur will be fine, once fitted up put the chain in small front and small rear and make sure the derailleur has taken the slack out of the chain, if not take a link out and try again.

Answer:
I have just fitted a Ultegra 11 - 28 cassette and Ultegra short cage matched to a compact 50 - 34 and it works fine. It will obviosly work with a Ultegra 6700 Medium cag.. When the chain is fitted it must be 2 links longer than required to fit snuggly around the 28 and 50 tooth gears. With a new cassette and crankset I would fit a new 6701 chain.

Answer:
Yes; the 10sp cassettes are supplied with their corresponding lockring (it is often either on top or on the underside of the plastic carrier, which it can slip off, so be sure to double check the packaging in case it becomes loose in transit)

Answer:
The Shimano 10sp Road cassettes are cross compatible, so you can replace your Tiagra cassette with an Ultegra if you wish, yes. Keeing the same tooth ratio should make it a straight as well, so your rear derailleur won't need re-adjusted.

Answer:
The most important thing about a cassette's compatibility is the spacing of the sprockets, and any two Shimano or SRAM 10 speed cassettes will have the same spacing.

You should not have to change other components, but I would always recommend getting a new chain when you replace a cassette.

Answer:
In theory yes but your rear derailleur will have a maximum tooth difference between top and bottom sprockets so you will need to check, most short cage derailleurs can only cope with 28 tooth sprocket so you may need to get a long cage derailleur to use a 12 - 30 cassette.

Answer:
In practice this would not be a problem; we wary however of the added Gear Capacity on the 12-30 cassette which is not compatible with all Rear Derailleurs.

Yes this cassette will work with a Shimano Ultegra 6750 groupset. But if you choose the 12-30t
option you will require a medium cage rear derailleur.

Answer:
Hi, No sorry, you would have to replace the top three cogs as they are attached. If you was going to buy the 11-28 you would only have the top two gears of different ratios, a 24,28 as opposed to a 23,25. As is always the case you would be wise to order a new chain at the same time as your old chain would be worn to your old cassette.

No, this will not be possible as the three largest rings on the cassette are non removable/replaceable, if you remove your cassette you will see that they are riveted to the cassette body. - I own a 6700 cassette 11-28t

I would say most road type derailleurs are short cage. They best way to tell is look at the jockey wheels and judge by the gap between the two. Most MTBs are fitted with long cage, does if look like them?
