Rated 5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by superb bought this as part of a gearset change from Sram gxp to shimano ultegra, all i can say is what a difference all round, smooth does not do it justice really happy indeed 15 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great valus replacement Got this on special offer to replace a Sora BB that wore out far too quickly. So far, so good! 05 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superb value & quality. I purchased this bottom bracket as a replacement for my FSA one. I have wasted my money twice on buying FSA bottom brackets that have worn out in no time (I've had to replace x2 FSA's in 2 years on my hybrid commuter). This bottom bracket is less than half the price of the FSA unit & works a treat with my FSA Gossamer cranks. That's the one thing I was concerned about, the compatibility between FSA & Shimano kit. In short, this is a superbly made BB for very little money & far better than any FSA BB. 26 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by good quality easy to fit got this to replace a default BB i got on my bike when i bought it it was an ultegra setup however merida stuck a bb51 on it (€2,500) OMG 1000k it was clicking 4000 gone the ultegra is so much smother on the bike and i have tested it on some cat 2 hills and let rip on them. i will buy this again and again great quality for the price and will now be apart of my service kit 14 December 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great upgrade from square taper bracket I upgraded from a square taper BB to HT2 and the difference is amazing - rock solid. No matter how well adjusted/serviced/clean I kept the square taper there would always be creaking coming from it, and I'm sure I could feel some flex (that may have been in my head though) - since upgrading to the Ultegra (with new chainset) the whole drivetrain feels stiffer, more responsive and the creaking noises have gone. Very happy with this, and the price. 07 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent BB I've been upgrading my road bike from 105 to Ultegra 6600. The 6700 BB cups are actually cheaper than the older 6600 ones and they fit my 6603 triple nicely. The kit includes two cups and the tube. Great quality and value. 05 December 2012

Answer:
This BB is 100% compatible with FSA Gossamer cranks & a superb alternative to FSA mega-exo BB's. Despite what FSA & Shimano may claim, these parts work fine with one another.

Answer:
The two measurements refer to the width of the frames bottom bracket shell (ie where the bottom bracket screws into).

By measuring this; thread type can be determined (either Italian or English). The measurement is best made by turning the bike upside down, then measure the width from side to side.

The Eddy Merckx AMX 1 is BSA 68mm (English Threaded); so 'sku133116' will be the ideal choice.

Will this fit a Trek Madone 3.1 (2012)

I'm intending to change the OE Sram GXP chainset on my Madone 3.1 for an Ultegra 6750 compact. Will this BB be the correct one? If so, which thread? If not, which other BB?

Answer:
If the bearing cups are serviced regularly (ie. Cleaned and re-greased) in wet weather conditions especially; then this bottom bracket could achieve 5,000 - 10,000 Km+ if not for a lifetime if serviced frequently enough.

If there is no play or creaking/cracking noises coming from the bottom bracket then it is safe to assume that all the ball bearings are intact and do not require changing but servicing is heavily recommended.

Answer:
The existing 5600 bottom bracket is a 105 Hollowtech II bracket so you can use any standard Road Hollowtech II bracket, such as those linked below. The BC 1.37x24 indicates it is standard BSA threading, so the 68mm brackets should be fine.
