Rated 5 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great front mech Just fitted this with 105 shifters, very easy to set up and the action of the mech is a lot lighter and smoother than my clunky old 105 front mech.I would recommend this as an upgrade to a 105 front mech. 11 December 2012

Answer:
This mech can be controlled using friction shifters but be aware that it is intended for a narrow 10-speed chain to run within a 10-speed drivetrain.

Answer:
The derailleur only does what the shifter tells it to. indexed or not.
What you have to watch is chain ring size, as this one is only good for a 2 ring set up with 38 to 40 teeth. Your small ring if considerably smaller, will likely cause the chain to drag on the derailleur as well as this cage is shorter. Stick with a 3 ring front derailleur and you should be safe

Will this run with a 52-39

Hi,
I have just changed from a alloy cx frame to carbon(Scott Addict).I have been running a 52-39 on the road.
Now I need a braze on front Mech instead of a banded one which I could move up and down and gave me loads more adjustment with the road Mech and chainset.
I noticed this product runs from 46>52 is that correct?

Thanks for your help

I'd like to add a cyclocross crank (46/36) and this front mech to my hybrid, but it seems like it's only meant for drop bar shifters. Will the Tiagra flat bar shifters work with the CX70?
