Rated 5 out of 5 by shimano at it best don`t waste your money on dura ace, these are everything you will need out of a pair of pedals 11 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pedals and a really good price I'm used to MTB pedals, I bought these for my new road bike. I was very happy with the weight and the contact patch is bigger than what I'm used to. I got these in the sale so the price was very good too. 22 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great upgrade from 105 pedal My Trek Domane 5.2 was full Ultegra except for the pedals. I have 700 miles on similar format aluminum 105 pedals. I did not think the upgrade to the Ultegra 6800 would make much difference. My first ride this morning proved that wrong. The 105 is a very good pedal, but the Ultegra 6800 is lighter and smoother. You cannot tell just by spinning the pedal with your hand, but put some weight on them and difference can be felt. I had no problem clipping in / out with my original shoes and Shimano (yellow) cleats. Great price, too. Thanks Chain Reaction Cycles! 09 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love them, stiff and go well with the 6800 GS Im a bit OCDish when it comes to my bike and after replacing my Ultegra 6700 with 6800 but not the pedals, decided to give in and get the carbon ones, Good price, relatively light but stiff, and usual Shimano precision, Would recommend, 08 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Brilliant Very happy with the fit, weight and smooth action. 20 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by product is great I only had shipping problems other wise I 'm satisfied. 03 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by TOP Grande pedale, qualità shimano. Perfetto accoppiamento pedale tacchetta con grande superfice d'appoggio. Mi piace la tacchetta intermedia (8). 16 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the pedals These carbon pedals match really well with colour of the Dura ace 7900 cranks. Ultegra is great value as can't afford Dura ace pedals or levers. Even at CRC value price. I replaced my 7800 dura ace pedals with these and they work well. My only issue is I still had to buy the blue (2 degree) cleats as these come with yellow. Apart from juniors, does anyone use the full float yellow anymore now there is the 2 degree option? CRC don't seem to stock the Blue ones, at least at the time when I bought the pedals. 29 April 2014

Answer:
The hex key axle allow you to fit and remove the pedal by the crank arm: I wouldn't say it's mechanically any different as far as effort it concerned, but it certainly looks much neater and allows for a shorter axle, which in turn makes it stronger.

Answer:
I found when I put these pedals on they are just as easy or maybe even easier than using a standard wrench I think that is because it takes the weight better. That Is me and it only really matters if you take them of regularly.

Answer:
No, not at all. (Why do you think they would be?) It's good practice to lightly grease the threads before you tighten them into the crank - I use copper-slip. But they're easy to torque-up with your hex wrench, and just as easy to undo. HTH...

Answer:
The crank arm (edge) to pedal cleat (centre) is around 52mm on these pedals. I don't believe this is different to the previous models (the lower profile mentioned in the description refers to the height of the pedal and it's relation to the centre of the sole of your shoe).

Answer:
I'm not sure what you mean by 'normal', but compared to an R540 SPD-SL, the positioning of the central plate appears identical. Of course, you'll have some room on the cleat position to move your shoe closer or further from the crank/stay if you wish. HTH...

Answer:
Shimano themselves have not issued any weight limits, so I wouldn't treat them any differently from other pedals. (If there was a low limit, then I think the manufacturer would have said.)

I'm not exactly a lightweight - 12-stone - and the pedals are holding up perfectly with me standing on them at the first sign of any hill! HTH

Answer:
There is no weight limit for pedals as far as we are aware; the weight limit for road wheels is 100kg, its unlikely the pedals will fail before the wheels will.
