Rated 5 out of 5 by GonzoLiam Love these shoes.
Had these about a year. They stand up well to UK riding, much warmer than having meshes over your toes. Also ridden in temps up to 32C (in France - not UK evidently). A bonus of the lack of mesh is that you can clean them really easily / well (if your into that kind of thing). I wear these on my mountain bike and my road bike, using with XTR trail pedals (which I love too). Good stuff and great quality.
I am a euro 44 in normal shoes, but find the shimano 45 fits well.

If you are looking for a winter shoe and dont want a pair of those monster boots then this is the shoe for you. I was looking for a nice stiff pair of MTB shoes with no mesh on them. I wanted to use them for winter commuting and needed something that wouldnt let in water. I was coming from a pair of old sidi dominators that had seen better days. Anyway, am i happy, yes. These shoes are very stiff and the synthetic uppers are very weatherproof, obviously water will still get in at the top if its really chucking it down. They're quite narrow but not overly. I'm a UK 9.5 usually and had a pair of 44.5 Dominators, these are a perfect fit. Very comfortable although my only 'complaint' would be the thin inner sole. I'm going to try the Specialized BG Sole to see if it makes them a little more comfy.

I have always used Shimano or Lake cycling shoes over the last twenty years of riding mountain bikes.
The uppers are pretty stiff, perhaps because they’re also only a few months old, so hopefully they loosen up and become more supple like my old Shimano MO87’s, who’s uppers are quite pliable.
The shoe is well built and designed, but that’s a trait for Shimano. I live in Calgary and have been riding with these shoes in -12oC without over-boots. They just about keep my feet warm, but then again that’s cold to be on a bike. These shoes have a fairly comfortable insole. One point that’s really apparent is that they do not transmit the cold from the pedal, through the cleat and inner sole like the MO87’s. Also, because there’s no mesh the cold air cannot get inside.
As for water resistant; they’re not really. The first ride I did was with them was in sleet and my feet were definitely wet and cold, but that was an extreme day and really bad weather. The studs are a great feature and will be invaluable in the spring when the trails are muddy and slippery. The sole is somewhat harder than the MO87’s so you have to be careful on wet rocks and ice.
There are no doubt better MTB cycling shoes out there but for this price and the quality you’ll be hard pushed to match this package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Just very good
Worn this year through wet & dry. Excellent comfort and very supportive fit. Robust construction and very easy to adjust. They fit my medium width feet perfectly. Cool in sun and warmish in the wet & cold. Nothing negative to say.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Great all-rounder.
I've used these shoes for a couple of months now, and despite early concerns they've proved themselves more than capable performers in all British conditions.
From as hot as the UK gets to as wet and dirty as it gets. I would say though they're probably better orientated to the wetter/colder days. I'm looking forward to having warm dry feet this winter.
They're plenty stiff enough to get the power down but also pretty comfortable for those hike a bike sections.
Fitting wise I'd go for a full size over normal shoe size, also they're also quite narrow as per Shimano, though I believe there may be a 'wide' fitting model.
My only negative points here are that after a couple of hours riding my feet start to ache, this is probably due to having high arches, so I'm going to experiment with different foot-beds. My other concern is that since I have only had velcro fastenings before I'm worried that the ratchet and strap fastening (which works very well I might add) may not be that durable, time will tell on that one.
Overall highly recommended, will wait and see about the durability.
