Rated 2.6 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unfortunately Shimano's solid hub reputation let down by the Freewheel This hub was used for 6 months of light riding before I noticed some lateral play in the Cassette. I though it maybe require a cup & cone adjustment of a re torquing of the freewheel attachment screw. To my shock the entire free wheel housing had cracked in 2 places. After doing some research I later found out this can be a common problem with these hubs. Buyer be ware. To Chain Reactions credit they sent a replacement freewheel out to me express to get me back out on the trails. Their customer support is second to non. Thank you Chain Reaction. If you purchase this item just keep an eye on the freewheel regularly. Hopefully you get one that lasts longer than mine did. 11 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great solid value I bought these just over two years ago and built my first set of wheels. They are fast, smooth, and solid. I bought the 15mm front hub with this rear. My only wish is that Shimano would make them with high flanges. 11 August 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Unreliable freewheel. Freewheel broke after less than 50km, will not buy again. 21 May 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too little grease! I've to open up the hub to pack more grease. looks badly on shimano! made in malaysia too 09 April 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by I like Shimano products, but this piece of junk disappoints. I have used this hub on a cyclocross bike that I use for couriering. Unlike the front version of the same hub, this one is incredibly hard to pre-load (tighten it) taking it apart for maintenance. Expect to spend huge amounts of time setting it up correctly. Even then, you may not get it right. When that happens, dirt gets past the seals and destroys the bearings, cup, and cone. The freehub body also broke on mine, after only 10 months of use. 11 March 2014
14 November 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Freehub cracked with very little use After 3 months use the freehub cracked into several pieces, rendering the hub useless. I would recommend buying a better quality hub than this one. 24 October 2013

Answer:
Yes, and it does perform really well. Just be sure you want ball and cone bearings (Shimano's choice, non-replaceable) instead of sealed bearings (replaceable), and centerlock rotor mount instead 6 bolts.
