Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what it needs to Bought this as I had a creaking when pedalling, thought BB had worn. Turns out it was probably the seat post. Anyway, easy to replace and this is smaller than the Deore BB I had on bike. Original BB will wear out at some point so it would have been rude to return it the price paid. 17 September 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Classic XTR- light, functional and well made. As you would expect from a Shimano XTR product, this BB performs well, fits fine and is relatively light. The action is smooth with low friction and the seals have (so far -4 months) kept out the elements. At the offer price of £25 it was a no-brainer. 03 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Throw away your BB86 and get this! Bottom bracket on my MTB was broken (BB86) so after extended research I got this BB not even being sure if it would fit, but it fit perfectly, and what quality product it is, very happy with it! Tip. Get proper tool and lube, lube is important! 24 August 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bust Smashed it when I was putting the crank in (I was quite careful doing it to) so got a saint one to replace it. That did the job nicely and doesn't weigh that much more. 13 August 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Light smooth BB at a great price. I fitted this to my commuting hard tail, so far it has been great, very smooth. It is a lot lighter than the BB51 I had previously been using, lighter than I was expecting. The cup adaptor for fitting can be a wee bit slippy as the cups get tighter, but that would not put me off getting another one. 24 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Producto muy ligero y tacto suave al pedalear Muy contento con la compra por la calidad/precio,y rapidos en servirlo como siempre. Muy suave a la hora del pedaleo y muy ligero 21 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Хорошая каретка Откатал на этой каретке несколько 1000 км. Грязь, дождь, песок, снег.... Пережила все прелести активных покатушек и всё ещё жива. На второй велосипед заказал такую же. 22 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Perfect Purchased for CX, swapped the central plastic shaft for a road frame and works great! 21 May 2014

Answer:
It all depends on your crankset my friend. If you are running any HTII (or compatible) then go for it but without knowing what cranks you spin we are unable to assist you.

Answer:
You need to specify what crankset you are using- if you are using a HollowTechII set then it is a straight forward replacement. If you are using any different then you need to consider the relevant product.

Yes; the XTR m980 bracket will replace the BB51 (Deore XT) bracket - they are the same system and should run your 24mm spindle Evolve crank fine.

Is this the Shimano BB93 or an earlier model?

The picture doesn't show the latest version (BB93), but this seems to be the only XTR bottom bracket you do. Is this product for sale the latest one, BB93?

Answer:
If you are looking for an axle bottom bracket then you are looking at the wrong product my friend. You need a standard axled BB- not a HTII. All HTII spindles are 118mm long and any relevant changes to the chainline are to be made by the use of supplied spacers.

With bb mounted chain guide?

Hi,

Will this bb be able to hold a bb mounted chain device ? I use a bb mounted chain device in place of 1 of the spacers on the drive side for a 68mm shell.

I believe the new cups have a smaller diameter then the older cups , will the new cups still allow me to use my bb mounted chain guide? Will they still hold a chain guide with a smaller lip to the outside of the bb shell.

Thanks for your help?

They will as the holding face of the cups remained unchanged. The older cups were bevelled on the inside hence the holding surface remains the same.
