Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Budget hard core gear - Zee The Zee line is truly excellent. A minor word of caution only tighten them up "just enough" the torque settings recommended can cause premature failure including threading of the pinch bolts. Overall I am very pleased with them and have them on most of my bikes. 02 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT UPGRADE : ) got one of these fitted to my new Scott Voltage to replace the bog standard crank that came with it (which was so flexy it was actually rubbing the frame when i pedalled hard). running it as a 1x8 speed and works great. i was intending to get a bash guard for it but tbh it's too pretty to cover it up! 09 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Satisfied a solid crank feels like a deore with a different paintjob No complaints so far the color aint black tho. 07 May 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Saints but cheaper and heavier. Perfect Enduro/FR groupset. Using this in a 1x10 set up and a 32T Raceface chain ring. These are strong and look awesome! Use some heli-tape on them to preserve the finish! 09 March 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by non drive side arm The bolt has striped the thred on the non drive side arm I used the proper tork settings so I took the bolt out an it only has a five threds too grip on mine So would like a refund I will put too an get something a bit better 05 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Crank Set Bought these to go on a bmx build and am very happy with how they perform. Feel strong under foot and they look great too. A great cheaper alternative to the Saints. Great value - Shimano quality 02 January 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Stiff, look good and excellent value for money. Bought these to replace some entry level truvativ cranks on my NS Core and the difference was instantly noticeable. The stiffness and stability of these cranks was confidence inspiring and I enjoyed my day out (Lost my Glentress virginity) greatly, much of this was thanks to riding with a good set of cranks. They're reasonably weighted as well and the BB included was a doddle to fit and with a bit of grease on application is, 2 months of riding later still buttery smooth. Very impressed and excellent service from CRC :D 29 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 great set of cranks I got these cranks about a week ago and they are feeling great! I would recommend these to anyone one looking for great cranks while on a budget. 21 August 2013

Answer:
The bottom bracket bearings and bearing cups are included with this crankset.
The BB Shell mentioned on the listing is in regards to the area on the frame where the crankset passes through (see here for an example - http://imgur.com/meNXw6C).

Answer:
This crankset is designed to be used with one chainring only; in conjunction with a multi-speed cassette.

The main use for the Zee drivetrain is intended for freeride and downhill making it among the most durable of the Shimano range.

Answer:
It is FAR more durable than SLX and XT but heavier. Its more like Saint. It is NOT double compatible no.

If you think you need a double up front then you probably don't need a crank as strong as Zee.

Answer:
Yes, I have used a variety of 30t, 32t, 34t and 36t chainrings some narrow wide, some not. All fit well and worked without spacers. Currently using a 32t narrow/wide from Race Face which is perfect.

I need to replace my deore m590 triple (currently stripped down to a single speed 32t)
as the pedal threads have worn through. The Zee's have steel thread inserts so if they work with the press fit BB91 i'll upgrade to these.

Answer:
The speed of the drivetrain will not gurantee chain retention.

Inclusion of a Narrow/Wide chainring and a Short Cage Clutch Derailleur would decrease the chance of chain drop further,

Quick change between shimano cranks?

I have the below crankset installed, but it no longer meets my needs and want to switch to single ring crankset. Could i do a clean swap between the two cranks? Also, would i need any new tools? I have the hollowtech 2 Bb tool already.

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-slx-m665-double-chainset/rp-prod28019

Thank you,

Jason

Answer:
Yes this should be a straight forward swap over with only the Hollowtech 2 tool being required.

Removal of the no longer required Front Derailleur will also require an Allen/Torx key depending on how its attached.
