The SiDi ERGO 2 Carbon Lite sole was developed in conjunction with Professional Riders, to satisfy both the need to exploit power to the fullest and to limit the stresses and shocks the sole transfers to the rider.

Carbon Lite Sole SiDi introduces, for the first time in a cycling shoe, a material thought and developed for the aerospace and aviation fields. This “structural expanse core” material, being wear resistant, guarantees a longer life to the sole keeping its initial mechanical features. Different kinds of materials are formed in layers to make a “unique handmade sole”. Carbon Lite Sole has been thought and developed using a mix of innovative composite materials which maximizes the stress resistance of the sole but making it lighter.

Carbon Lite is offered with a simple design made with thin lines attentive to the structural and aerodynamic look of the shoe. The Carbon Lite Sole is constructed to provide a slight amount of flex in the toe while retaining excellent stiffness throughout the body of the shoe. The sole is engineered for the high-performance, high-mileage cyclist who requires a sole that is rigid but does not compromise the foot’s blood circulation, guaranteeing comfort, foot health and great power transfer. For walkability, the Carbon Lite Sole includes an anti-slip insert at the toe and a replaceable polyurethane heel pad. The Carbon Lite Sole is compatible with the best pedals on the market. To facilitate cleat replacement, the SiDi Carbon Lite sole features a 10 mm horizontal and vertical cleat alignment scale moulded into the sole as well as the Look Memory Eyelet.

Soft Instep Closure System The wide, anatomical and padded strap has been reduced and coupled to soft, thermo-formed material increasing comfort and performance. It distributes pressure evenly over the arch area, adjustable from both sides for perfect centering. The system eliminates the need for the High Instep Extender. Used with SL and Caliper buckle straps. Serviceable and replaceable.

Caliper Buckle The micrometric closure called Caliper buckle is regulated by lifting the central buckle. In order to completely open, lift together both side buckles, while to slightly loosen the closure during the race the central clip must be lifted.

Tecno II System Tecno II buckle uses monofilament line and a fine-tooth ratchet for smooth adjustment and even pressure distribution. Allows frontal micrometric closure and adapts the upper of the shoe to the shape of the foot for a customised fit. The Tecno II system is now smaller and can be replaced more easily. Serviceable and replaceable.

Velcro Security System High security Velcro with integrated locking polymer teeth that engage onto each other when the strap is closed. This feature makes the closure more secure and the Velcro becomes unmoveable.

Adjustable Heel Retention Device New technology for the heel cup system. The adjustable heel retention device reinforces the top of the heel cup and improves fit by closing the back of the shoe more securely around the rider’s ankle. The heel retention device tightens the top of the heel cup so that it doesn’t slip during steep climbs or sprints. It can be adjusted with two small screws that work independently from each other. For a custom adjustment turn the screw towards the + sign to tighten the heel retention device and towards the - sign to open it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by I wish somebody told me about Sidis earlier! Totally awesome fit! 4 securing points (including the heel-cup!) Very secure when out of the saddle, no sloshing around - even 3 hours into a ride... I've got a high instep/arch, so the ability to tighten different parts of the shoe at different points means the shoe is totally snug. A reliable strong main buckle means no more shoe related mechanicals, like some other over-engineered shoes... Will only ever buy Sidi shoes now - totally won me over... 13 March 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Shoe! Great Service from Chain Reaction to Austria in just under a week! 28 July 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Firstly yes these shoes are expensive, but are they worth the high price is the ultimate question? In my opinion as someone who rides for over twenty hours per week, and used these shoes for over 8,000km, the answer is a definate yes they are. The reason is frstly in the highly adjustable nature of the shoes. I simply do not get hot spots on long rides, and adjusting the shoe on the go, as your feet change shape throughout the duration of a ride could not be easier. Secondly it is hard to describe how important the heel adjustment is until you have used the shoes and then returned to an old pair, this is clearly apparent on long climbs and out of the saddle efforts. The build quality is exceptional as would be expected at this price. As a word of cation to some the shoes, I own a blue version, they look as good today as when they came out of the box apart from a general greying of the white areas. The vernice leather simply stays shiny and is easy to wipe down, if you think or hope the bling factor will reduce with age, think again. If you are a serious cyclist who spends time in the saddle and wants one of the best feet to bike interfaces around then look no further. In respect to Sidi fit I have personaly owned sidi's on and off for a large number of years as a result I was confident that I knew the sizing and shape of my feet were compatible. I am all too aware that standard sidi fit is often too narrow for many but given the adjustable nature and broad toe box on this model I doubt that will be as significant as may be the case with lower cost models, try and see! 01 April 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I bought a black pair and I'm very happy with them. I like the fact that they are so adjustable. Yes they are a bit bling but also practical. I spilt a litre of blue Powerade over one during a race the other day. A quick wipe down and you wouldn't know the difference. A word of caution though if I had relied on using the sizing chart on the Sidi website I would have bought the wrong size. I ended up trying a pair on first. 28 September 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by I went for the white. Fortunately I retain some vestigal racing form. If you want to wear these, be quick! They are gorgeous, and quite, quite bling. The shiney (vernice) does indeed wipe clean, but, of course, not all the shoe is covered with the stuff. Nonetheless mine still look good after some pretty wet riding. Performance-wise, they are super stiff, and if you have Sidi-shaped feet, comfy too. The heel retention system is a useful addition if you have narrow heel bones. I don't slip at all when out of the saddle, which is new for me. A class act! 26 August 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by So far they are great. Nice and light with a great fit. I still need to break them in, but otherwise I like them. Quite shiny, though. I need some good hard miles to make them look normal. 18 April 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thumbs up to the CHAINREACTIONCYCLES, fast shipping and transaction. My order arrived at my door within 6 days to Las Vegas. I am impressed with the Ergo 2 Lite. I don't feel any vibration at all during my ride. The size fits perfect for me. This shoe is super light and comfortable. A lot of riders turn heads toward my vernice red Ergo 2. 15 March 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by I still can't believe i paid this much for a pair of shoes (even with CR's cheap price) but I don't care any more. It was so wrong and yet so right, so very right, to give in to the overpowering urge to click the mouse button and buy these babies. At the cafe after the ride I see people's eyes slide down under the table to rest on my shiny SIDIs. More seriously, buying a pair of shoes on the net is a bit of a shot in the dark size wise, so try on a friend's pair first if you can. I have a narrow foot and these are perfectly snug on me, so i can imagine people with broader (i.e. normal) feet might need the broad size. Sole is so incredibly stiff, you can feel the difference in power transfer. And really easy to adjust tightness in top and middle buckles on the fly. 25 February 2010

The Sidi fitting tends to be tighter than some of the other shoes on the market and for that reason we would suggest that you order a size up from your normal shoe size.

So if you were normally a EURO 41 then I would recommend ordering a EURO 42 in your new Sidi Shoe
