Great deflection of moisture and crud
When used on a wheel with shocks, the shock cross-brace will bang up against this mudguard. Still trying to figure out a solution. This is a reasonable major design issue.

Attractive, effective, lightweight front mudguard. Simple to fit for anyone but a complete idiot & they dont use mudguards anyway. You could buy this or a Neoguard + crud catcher for almost twice the price & 75% of the protection, its got to be a no brainer.
Only downside is that a cable operated fork lockout can make the quick release tricky.

This front mud guard is great in all respects apart from the fixing which should be stronger. The easy release is good for cleaning and transporting but I now have 4no. broken mud guards (over the last 5/6years), all of which have failed in the same place where two weedy plastic strips hold it in place on the mounting block which fits up into the steerer tube. Having said all that I am about to but another one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Good protection but weak attach point
I have one of these on each of my 2 bikes. They work very well at stopping mud from spraying up from front tire. They are light, easy to remove and easy to install. However, the attachment point on the mudguard is not very strong. It's a small slot with a couple of thin plastic walls that hold it to the anchor. I have broken 2 Shockboards as a result of crashing my bike (not intentionally!). They both broke at the attachment point. Having said that, I replaced them both with the same product. The rear SKS X-tra Dry mudguard is a good product also.

You may have the mounting fitted back to front under the fork. I recently changed froks and made the mistake and it kept falling off also. There is a front and back way to position it.
I changed it around and - perfect works like it has for the past 5 years.
In fact I am buying another for the weekend bike - they are so good.

This has to be one of the best front mudguards available. It is relatively light weight and the quick release is quite useful for cleaning. I use a bit of cushioned tape on my forks (door frame draught excluder), this protects the forks from getting damaged by the mudguard rubbing but also stops it from rattling around and keeps it firmly fixed on. grime can get under the quick release so keep that clean.

Very light and looks like a great design but for off-road it just isn't tough enough, mine broke within a couple of runs
