Rated 2 out of 5 by redd Ok light let down by bracket
My light finally died today after multiple times coming free of its bracket and escaping into traffic. The bracket on these is terrible, I commute on city streets and after about a month of owning it it started to feel like it wasn't snapping into place as well as it used to and shortly after it broke free for the first time.
I've had multiple smart lights before this, only ever really upgrading for a brighter light but the quality has severely degraded over the years. I won't be buying one of their lights again.

Недостаточно яркости для основного освещения в пути. Можно использовать как маячок, для движения по освещенным дорогам.

Unfortunately the beam emitted by this light has a narrow, central focus. The lack of spread on each side means you can't see much, and other people approaching from your side don't see light filtering out sideways. Of course, we need additional safety aids such as reflective clothing / tyre sidewalls etc, but it's always useful to have light visible to others from the side.
This is ok to supplement another light on the 'bars, but by itself I don't think it's good enough.
There are other lights that have a wider spread and brighter output for a similar price. The Smart 10 lux has been around for a few years now, and needs a re-design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Not Bad for £10
I bought this light as a daily commuter having previously owned a similar Cateye unit but at 3x the price. The Cateye was disappointing, lasting 3 years or so and failing in an irrepairable mode. The Smart is slightly better - it has lasted about a third of the time (almost a year) and has begun to fail in a way that will be repairable with tape or glue for a while (the lamp unit/battery pack join has failed due to bad design) but it will be dead soon enough. If you want an effective daily commuter front light, you would seem to need to spend about a tenner a year on hardware (+ batteries) (YMMV).
