Received the light within 4 day and i was totally shocked by the size of this product. Its really compact and within a palm size. Tested on a dim road and it works very well. Practically satisfield customer!

Rated 3 out of 5 by olegator

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nikkos one of the best in the market
excellent light, for traffic in the city or countryside (at lower speeds). Can be seen from quite far and you can see clearly the road and surroundings.
If lens was a bit wider would be perfect.
Batteries are common AA which gives options to use recharegable NiMH as I do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rmodell23 Brilliant .....
I have used this on unlit lanes and its just about bright enough to use on its own. it really is very very bright and as a marker light you can see it from miles away!!! very impressive for the money. Seems to be fairly waterproof thus far as well - used it in the rain without any issues at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Very good light
I did my research and bought this smart-35 light along with a Cateye Rear/TL-LD1100, both arived two days later, and to say am pleased would be a huge understatement, this light is fantastic, I use it during what is probably the most dangerous time of all, just between geting dark, and as I use it on unfamilar country roads I keep it on constant, and use the lower of the two constant settings, I have no trouble seeing where am going, further into my journeys darkness enevitably sets in, and the light just gets better, as it should, I dont mean to be harsh when I say, If you cant see where your going with this light, the trouble is not with the light, am 48, and as much as am aware, the light reflecting back to my eyes and hense what I see is only over two thirds of what any of us start out with, and I dont miss a thing with this light, nor do aproaching cars, they clearly see me, dip lights, and slow down from far away, I could not recomend this light enough, they are a little expensive, but theres a good reason, it also heps that it uses the same AA batterys as the back light I use, this way when I go exploring I only need to carry two spare batterys as backup, and when purchasing I get a better deal on the six packs of battery, as oposed to buying two difgerent sizes, I cant comment on how long batterys will last, but am very pleased so far, ten evenings of riding origonals still going strong, I have no complaints what so ever about this light, and hope this helps someone stay safe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous VERY bright!!
Bought as the main light for a daily 20-mile commute which takes me through urban & rural roads. When i read that this light was bright i thought 'yeah, yeah....' but omg it is SOOOOO bright!
Smart seem to have addressed the noddy-brackets on their lights too.
This is prolly the best £26 you'll spend this winter - 5/5!
Would never consider c*teye lights again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Good solid light with limitations
Having owned quite a few Smart lights over the years this is undoubtedly the best.
It is well made and as small as Polaris 10 that I have owned and is pretty bright.
Smart have done away with the falible "click" QR mounting system and replaced it with the much better screw attachment that is very secure.
My criticism is that the beam is incredibly tight and focused. This is not always ideal when travelling at 20+ MPH on unlit roads or paths which are undoubtedly littered with potholes and cracks.
I did have a Chinese light that ran on a special rechargeable battery that was unbelieveably bright but unfortunately it didn't last so I came back to the reliable Smart.
Ironically I got this the cheapest it has ever been on a limited offer from a certain high street / car chain!
Come on Smart - if you can get a bright light into such a small package surely you can adjust the spread of the beam to make it less lazer like.
In summary an excellent commuter light but you'd need 2 for extended rides on unlit roads / paths.

Without a doubt the best front light I've ever owned. Nice build quality, feels solid and while I've only used it once or twice in the wet, I have no doubt the seals will keep water out. And bright? Holy moly this thing could light up reflective signs on the moon. Not too shabby for 2 AAs, in fact, it beats a couple of the super-expensive lighting rigs with batteries in the bottle cage and whatnot.
I've found that here in Singapore, this light is the only way to get any respect from drivers. Normally they'll just pull out in front of you, but with this thing blinking in their eyes, they think you're an emergency vehicle or something.
As well as flashing there are 2 beam settings - on superbright, maybe in conjunction with a headlight, I'd say you could use it for off-road night rides no worries.
If I had one tiny niggle, and honestly it's so tiny, it'd be the thumbscrew attachment thing. Wind it out too much and it'll fall into whatever grate you happen to be standing over. And of course, when it happens, you will be standing over a grate. Or in the jungle somewhere.
Anyway, for this price, just get one, you won't regret it.
