Simply stronger. The PC 1031 chain benefits from new design changes for better performance.
PowerLock: SRAM chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool free, sure and consistent way to connect our 10 speed chains. While PL does not require special tools for install, the especially tight tolerances of 10 Speed drive trains mandated that each PowerLock is good for a one-time application only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Velorider Нормальная рабочая цепь
В основном на ней и катаю, т. к. считаю что цепи мало друг от друга отличаются. Их просто менять надо вовремя, а цена SRAM PC1031 как раз с легкостью позволяет это делать

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pav19983 Very good chain.
I bought this chain to go with my 105 group set.
It shifts perfect came pre-lubricated/greased.
The best feature is the power link, forget Shimano get this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Fantastic chain
It's lasted me 7 months of harsh trail riding. Sand and mud that effectively creates a grinding paste, not bad at all really and have ordered another one. I have done more than 700 miles on mine and it only wore out not snapped or anything.. Dunno what happened to the other guys one lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Solid chain
Unlike the other review on here, this chain has been on my bike for over 1yr and with sensible cleaning like you would any other chain, it has lasted fine, i bought a replacement just in case it does go but still strong as i type. It gets ridden hard and fast and has done over 500 miles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous Chain let me down
I have had my chain break after about 300 miles riding to and from work ( not extreme riding ). The bike is well maintianed and was on a Ragley Piglet X7, I think the chain should last for more then 300 miles. I am looking for a reliable replacement now.

Once this chain has been split at a normal link (not a powerlink connector), can it rejoined with the same pin (like some other SRAM chains), or does one need to use a joining pin (like shimano chains) or new powerlink? It is a similar chain to the shimano ultegra, where one cannot rejoin with the normal pin.
