I see JJ from Australia had a SRAM Rival lever break.
I also had a failure with my rear brake lever. The main shift spool inside just snapped when attempting to change up to the large chain ring. I am starting to question the durability of the SRAM components.
I have never been very happy with the quality of shift change of the SAM RED finding it to be little better that the Ultegra that I had been using.
I'm undecided as yet but may just go back to my old Ultegra set as I don't really believe that the difference in quality of the new is worth the expense.
Note: I no longer race competitively so aren't looking for the gain of a couple grams or seconds as are some.

I recently snapped a Rival gear lever (should have claimed under warranty...), and decided to upgrade to Red. I really didn't think there would be too much difference, but am really surprised at how much more responsive the Red mechanism is and what a quick clean shift it provides. Definitely happy with the purchase.

hello just got it much better than shimano..got it with 1090 casette and chain..
shift perfect runs quiet..never miss a shift..gearing lots easier.
breaking power very good..that's it this is the best..
sram is best on all levels got the red cranseth also bb30..
that's it get one

Forget your fancy Italian Campag gears....who needs 11 speed anyway? These are great to use and setting them up myself I was able to famaliarise the shifting methods straight away. They are really easy to use. I don't mis-shift and now that I have SRAM I would use any other shifters again on my top bike. Better shifting than anything else out there!
