SRAM X0 2x10sp Low Direct Front Derailleur

Wide range 2X10 systems with X-Glide front shifting technology

Specifications:

  • Speeds:10 speed for 2X10 system
  • Weight:130 grams
  • Compatibility:10 speed only
  • Mount Options:Low Direct Mount (S1, S3)
  • Pull:Top or Bottom
  • Technology:X-Glide shifting technology

features:

  • Spec 1 – 42.7mm gap between the centres of the 2 mounting holes
  • Spec 2 – 22.1mm gap between the centres of the 2 mounting holes. These 2x holes are also offset by aprox 5mm, with the front one being set further out (i.e. closer to the derailleur cage). The front mounting hole is almost flush with the inner cage of the derailleur when fully retracted (i.e. as it comes out of the box)
  • Spec 3 – Also has 22.1mm gap between the centres of the 2 mounting holes. However, these 2x holes are flat, not offset. The inner cage of the derailleur sits a fair way out from the mounting bracket (aprox 16.75mm measured from the inside of the mount bracket to the outside of the INNER cage) when fully retracted (i.e. as it comes out of the box)

Compatibilities:

  • There is no up or down movement on these front derailleur’s so you must choose the model that matches the outer chainring size of your chainset.

Technologies:

  • Exact Actuation
When we launched our road technology from scratch we reapplied our MTB proven SRAM 1:1 actuation ratio (shifter cable travel : derailleur movement) for 10 speed rear shifting. EA helps to simplify/stabilize the uneasy act of balancing rear derailleur hanger design, tight cog spacing and exact cable tension. The result: the easiest index shifting system to set up and it stays that way.
  • X-Glide
X-Glide is the common denominator that gives 2X10 unmatched shifting performance. Four identical upshift locations, ready to be picked up by any outer link. Result? Perfect timing, almost instantaneous shifts, up or down, even under load.

Front Mech

Hi,
I have a 2012 Specialized Epic Carbon Comp 29er. I want to replace the front mech. I know it is a direct mount bottom pull but I'm unsure of the teeth. What does the 36T refer to? Is it the chain ring or the cassette. I know the cassette is a 11/36 but I'm not sure of the chain ring.

Thanks
Mark

Answer:
The tooth count refers to the chainring size; you will need a 'Spec 3' SRAM derailleur. You can double check the number of teeth on your largest chainring and select the size required.

Answer:
The cage width on this derailleur is too narrow to shift efficiently over the M665 crankset.

The recommended compatible derailleurs are as listed below, if you require something more specific; please contact us in the Technical Department below for more advise -

I am putting xt chain rings on my sram crank set (if they fit) but xt chainrings r either 38 or 40. So will a 38 tooth chainring work with a derailleur for a 39 tooth. And a 40t chainring with a 42 tooth derailleur? Is the derailleur set up for a maximum size, or that size soley.

I was hoping to get the sram xo derailleur to go on my specialized stumpy 2011. Just need to know it will fit with the proposed chainrings

Answer:
Yes; the tooth count listed is the maximum capacity of the derailleur, so the 39t can run a 38t without any drama..

Answer:
This frame requires a Low Clamp mech with a 34.9mm Clamp; the 31.8mm/34.9mm version would be ideal.

Answer:
The Mega TR requires the direct mount block (linked below) which you can then attach a Shimano Direct Mount derailleur to.

Answer:
This frame is listed as fitting Spec 1 Front derailleurs by SRAM (details show bike is fitted with “FRONT DERAILLEURSRAM X.7, 10-speed, S1 direct mount for DMD, bottom pull”) - Shimano do not make direct mount derailleurs with this Spec 1 sizing of 42.7mm gap between mounting holes.
Our stock of the SRAM X0 2x10sp Low Direct Front Mech is not available in a Spec 1 model of front derailleur that will match up with the customers
requirements. Try this:- http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/... - Spec 1 39t Bottom Pull.
