Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 41 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by X0 Пользуюсь X0 очень давно нареканий по качеству нет, лёгкий вес, очень тугая пружина, плавное переключение, для даунхилла лучше брать версию с короткой лапкой. 30 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rear Mech Upgraded from Shimano to the SRAM X0, what a difference. Such positive, seemless and quiet shifting. Struggled to get it lined up with the Shimano shifter but also upgraded to the SRAM XO shifters and works perfectly 25 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent! Very nice looking and easily installed. Nice little carbon add on. This thing shifts really well and weighs very little! 28 May 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by fast n smooth . Upgraded from X7, pricey but well worthwhile, night & day difference in shift quality. Now have super smooth instant shifts and doesn't go out of adjustment (but I do shift to smallest smallest gear when bike is not in use, avoids stretching gear cable!). Lightweight but tough enough for DH & freeride. Will definitely be adding to my other bike too. 14 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Derailleur This derailleur has survived over 3 seasons of DH abuse and it still works flawlessly, very light and extremely durable. 12 April 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by отлично из минусов - очень маркий, легко поцарапать переключает всё лёгким прикосновением к манетке 07 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by awesomeness i have a full x0 set up on my dh bike and i was so impressed i am upgrading my street bike to have the same set up the shifting is so crisp and sharp. its perfect. have used deore, xt xtr and lesser sram offerings (x7 and x9) but i would never look back 05 September 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by F1 This is the F1 of bicycling. Beautiful and plays like a charm. With shifters around 70gr lighter than 9sp X9, and shifting sounds more metallic. Superb. 01 July 2012

Answer:
You need a sram 9-speed rear shifter at least! Rear shifting components by sram and shimano are not compatible, only front ones. Hope this helps

Answer:
Marios, the X0 rear mech is 1:1 actuation, therefore you will need a compatible 1:1 actuation gearshifter for it to work properly, apart from that it should work well with your Shimano bits. SRAM's own X0 9-speed rear shifter is the obvious choice, it's strong enough for DH & freeride use. I've used this combo on 3 bikes for 2 years with no probs at all. Instant smooth shifts all the way but get these adjusted regularly for ultimate performance. Highly recommended.

The mech currently fitted to my bike is too short since swapping to triple rings at the front. Should I be going for the long or medium sized cage?

Answer:
Generally with a triple ring setup a long cage is called for on the rear. You may get away with a medium but you could run the risk of having the same problem of having too short a cage all over again.
