Rated 5 out of 5 by Guillaume Great update on my bike
Allow me to stand and still change gear and to drop many gears very fast. They are precise and offer a good grip, but not with bare hands on wet conditions though. Was not expecting the wires to be included, so nice surprise there.
Not as precise as a trigger shifter for the front chain rings as you don't have only 3 positions, but several intermediate ones. But this allows more combinations between front and rear so...

На этих переклюках отъездил уже более 6 тысяч и настраивал их один раз. За все время никаких проблем с использованием.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous excellent performance
I have these on one of my bikes, and my personal opinion is they give the best shifting performance of all types of shifters including X.0 trigger shifters which I also have on another bike. I do appriciate though, twist shift is a personal choice. I have friends that just don't like them, but they will still say the performance is impressive. I have the 9.0 twist shifter (which the X.0 replaced) which came on my team replica cannondale over 10 years ago. It is very similar to the current X0. I fitted gore tex cables when I got the bike and have never touch the gears since in all these years, so I think reliability is also excellent. They are just so simple. The only thing you have to do is replace the grip when it wears out. The throw of the shifter is very short and positive and I love having the ability to adjust the front mech. I did buy the X9 version for my girlfriends bike thinking they would be similar like the trigger versions are, but they aren't. X0 was WAY better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous great product
Like many, I was unsure about this product until I tried it for the first time. Since fitting it to my kinesis maxlight, I can confirm what others have said. It's a good piece of kit, and due to the speed I can cycle the detailed at, I never find myself in the wrong gear at the wrong time. My only gripe is that the finish is a bit cheap for an XO product. Matched with my X9 rear mech, this could be the best upgrade I've made in terms of outright pace on the trail. Josh

Still loving these 6 months on. No need to repeat all the +ves already stated, although one thing not mentioned is that while climbing out the saddle, body forward with hands rotated forward on grips, you can still change - you can't do that with triggers.
Only negatives - after a long ride with light gloves, the profile of the rubber section can dig into your hands a bit. Also, due to width main body, your brake levers will be a couple of cm further in towards the stem, so a 1 finger lever could end up very short !

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous Disappointing
I fitted a rebuilt bike with these as its predecessor had the 1997-era carbon gripshifts -which I loved. Reliable, controllable.
These ones I find, well, disappointing. I think maybe they are too bulky, but it's hard for me to get into a good position with these shifters and my (hope) brakes. The barrel is too big and bumps up, the shifter bit too large for me to keep my hands on, so I end up drifting to the outside. They aren't that light, either -my 1997 8-speed weighed less.
I'll stick with them another season then switch to the trigger shifters instead, which are what SRAM are focusing on. I think they view these as an afterthought.

I couldn't find a cheap set of thumb shifters and stumbled on all the reviews about these. Decided to give them a punt at sub £50 a pair work well and nice to use, low weight and simple. Bare in mind that you will need shorter grips and they will not work with anything 2:1 ration so you will need to team with SRAM stuff, shame, would like to use with saint shadow mech.
