Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great system, easy fit, good quality I have been using XX1 for over 12 months . Getting good wear from chainrings, up to 1,500 km of MTB work with plenty of climbing. Replacing chain when it gets up to 75% wear seems to help with wear issues on cassette and ring. Seems like a 3:1 ratio of chains to rings. Heard from friends that they get a lot less km from their XX chain rings. Been running 34T and 36T most of the time, needed 36T for some flatter races. Currently running a 32T which means that I don't spend so much time in the 42T Sprocket, I'm hoping this will extend the life of the Cassette, that said XX1 cassette lasted nearly 3,000 Km. Usually climb over 1,000 m when out riding, so getting plenty of hard work on the drive train. Not much mud and sand here in New Zealand so this probably helps to lengthen the life of gear. 14 October 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 28-34 I ride 3k climbing feet in 20 miles circuits with some grade 2/3 climbs .. dropped down to a 28 which means i can cope with the big tech climbs and still have fun on the down hills :) rode 34/32 and struggled to finish the climbs .. ride SB66 carbon 01 August 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great chainrings Its on my stumpy... 34 tooth is a do it all for me, im 200+ ibs i can just about ride up a hill until tilt back point and hit + 30mph pedal speed down.. i run this for days out at Surryhills and wales etc... for flatter rides i run 38 tooth not because 34 cant coupe its because i don't want to put big mileage with big torque on the small cog's of cassette all ride, would soon grind the 10 12 tooth cogs down, with 38 tooth chaining brings the chain to more of the center of cassette which is more durable for higher speed rides but still enables you fair climbing availability. My riding style is sprint and breath sprint and breath, i like to make flat trails seem like they are downs catch my breath on the no trills bits. I do like a climb or i would of just got a down hill bike. Hope this helps because i hate doing reviews Ha Ha 07 April 2014

Answer:
These chainrings are specific for the SRAM XX1 cranksets; if a Narrow/Wide chainring is what is required there are a few other options listed below -

Answer:
The XX1 Chain Ring only fits the XX1 crank as the BCD (bolt circle diameter) is smaller than most cranks. It's 76 mm to allow for a 28T option. The XO1 Chain Ring comes in 94 BCD or 104 BCD (seems to be a popular size) So if your crank has either of these diameters it should fit. That said does the rear D have a clutch and narrow wide jockey wheels? That's going to help with chain retention. I run a race face wide narrow ring (104 BCD) on an Shimano XTR Crank with a 10 speed cassette and SRAM Type 2 (clutched) rear D. That setup does not seem to need chain retention.
