Rated 2 out of 5 by not a cure for pinch flats doesnt stop pinch flats. 1 hour in 2 flats on a not at all demanding decent. if you have to run heavy ply tires its sort of pointless. did improve grip and feel noticably and weight slighty. with no track pump or compressor theres no way to get it back on the rim out on a ride. would definatly fit to a xc bike though 28 May 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Just installed these on Mavic EX729s with new Conti Mtn King 2.4 Protections. I wet the rim strip before mounting the tyre and a quick puff from the compressor snapped the tyre beads into place. I then took the valve cores out and filled each tyre with a pot of sealant (using cheap plastic syringe). Cleaned the valve core seat with cotton bud, reinstalled cores and pumped up. Spent about 15 minutes sloshing the sealant round inside the tyres, checking for soapy bubbles, as per the video on Stan's website. That was 2 weeks ago, and not lost any air at all since, and done some real heavy rocky riding, and it's all perfect. Bottomed out a few times, but that doesn't worry me any more as there's no tube to snake-bite ! Brilliant product, thanks Stan ! My only negative is that despite shaking the bottle for 5 minutes, there were still big globules of sealant particles in the liquid that were big enough to block the syringe. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it's not been a major issue yet. 29 January 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wot An Impressive Upgrade I have converted my sunrims MTX,s to tubeless running maxxis UST minion front , UST highroller rear. I found this kit easy to use after following the instructions. Dont worry about drilling the inner wall of your rim to the required 11mm for the valve to sit into, It will be ok ) the rim tape works well ( no sealant has ever leaked out arond my spokes ). You can pump them up if you suspend your wheel/tyre off the ground just using a track pump ( no trips to your local garge unless you've lot a tiny hand pump, lol ). I run 25 psi and they feel great, i have ran over nails and pins and just pulled um out and the tyre/sealant fixes itself, over 6 months have only had to add 5 psi to one wheel. THESE KITS ROCK. Measure the inside of your rim though becouse i should of used the freeride kit for mine, but just trimed the dh one down instead. P.S BUY THE INJECTOR TO ADD THE SEALANT SO U CAN DO TOP UPS 10 November 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by It works using regular minions on a double track and a mag 30 inflated first go and leaks sealed almost instantly... held pressure since. I was pretty skeptical at first but this looks awesome. Kit looks alot more well setup than a ghetto setup and not much more expensive and you get a quart of sealant with this kit... you cant go wrong. 01 March 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by THIS TOTALLY WORKS! I converted my standard wheels using this about 4 months ago and its brilliant. I run a Norco A-Line Downhill bike with Halo SAS Pro wheels and Maxxis Minion tyres 2.7 super tacky. I fitted this kit with no issues apart from having to take the wheels to my local garage who had a high pressure tyre pump to get the sides to stick at first but it worked no problem. Since then I have run at 25PSI at the Fort William Endurance DH and managed 10 runs without any flats. Most other guys were running 40PSI. I would not use tubes again and its so easy to top the inside up, by just using a valve key. GO, BUY IT, IT'S GREAT! 08 September 2010
