NoTubes Standard Tubeless Kit

Stan's tubeless system converts your existing wheel set to tubeless. Allows you to use either standard or tubeless tyres. Saving hundreds of pounds and weight over purchasing other Tubeless Systems.

  • Fits most standard mountain bike rims (Mavic 221, 317, 517, 519, 223 and Sun 0 XC, UFO, Sub4, etc..) Also fits Bontrager 29'er DISC rims.
  • Note: Rim strips feature Presta valve stems.

NoTubes Standard Tubeless Kit Features:

  • Two molded rim strips with Presta removable valve cores
  • One pint of Tyre Sealant with a 60g scoop and spout
  • One 10 yrd roll of spoke tape
  • NoTubes.com Decal
  • Detailed instructions

Why use our rim strip on tubeless rims? Without our rim strips, mounting a standard tyre on a tubeless rim creates a poor interface, making it easier to burp air. Using our molded rim strips in tubeless rims creates a much stronger interface with the tyre and rim. The interfacing is so strong there is no air loss even when a C-clamp has the tyre totally compressed. The side walls are touching and the bead lock is completely exposed! Try this with your tubeless system!

Sealant Benefits: No need to worry about the dreaded pinch flat and possibly never have another puncture flat again. Have the ability to use lightweight tyres and not be limited to buying expensive and much heavier tubeless specific tyres. Seals punctures and slows leaks that occur in most tubeless tyres. As a result, your tubeless tyres will hold air for longer periods of time. Lasts from three weeks up to three months. At that time you simply add more. (Time will vary due to different tyre characteristics). Once you seal your tyres they will not lose air pressure. What happens if I get a flat on the trail? The sealant does not use any glue or adhesive, so you can change a flat the same way you do now.

Technical Information: You can lose anywhere from 100 grams up to 400 grams of rotating weight per wheel set. This System does not require any modifications to your existing wheel set. If you are not satisfied with it, all you do is remove the rim strip, and put your old heavy tube back in and go riding. This System requires very little mechanical ability to install.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by great once you set it up Need the youtube advice for fitting. cant do it without a compressor and ots of detergent to allow sippage of the tyre on the rim. Can be frustrating until you get the hang of it. Tyres loose pressure until you have riden them a lot to spread the liquid sealer in the tyre. I have to remove the valve and put air straight in the valve stem to get enough pressure to inflate when completely flat. 08 July 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! But follow strictly the instructions! Easy to do if you know what you're doing. Just watch the videos and read carefully the instructions on the help page. Success depends also on the tyre/rim coupling. Michelin fit well my rims. Schwalbe do not. 29 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great piece of kit Easy to use instruction. No leaks been used for a while. No problems. Makes a big difference as well 13 June 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Quick easy and inexpensive upgrade to tubeless. I'd been looking to go tubeless on my new 650b shod bike but was struggling to find ready to go tubeless rims in the right price range and there didn't seem to be a 650b tubeless kit to order either, so a quick call to CRC and I was assured that this kit would fit my existing rims and tyres with no issues. The kit arrived promptly and was installed with minimal fuss. I was able to complete both wheels within 1/2 hour and there was no problem to inflate with a track pump. My tips: Liberally brush the rim/tyre interface with soapy water. A splash of fairy liquid into a half cup of water and applied with a pastry brush worked for me. Inflate the tyre once without the sealant and once you've got it sealed, then deflate and open a small section of the bead to add the sealant. 21 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Well worth the money in the Winter I ride off road to work 3 days a week, across fields, through farms and through woods. This winter I have been getting one puncture a day, which at nearly £5 GBP a tube was costing me a lot of money, not to mention changing tubes in cold and wet muddy fields. So I gave Stans a go. The first wheel (Mavic cross ride) took 3 hours to do on the first day before I gave up and went back to Youtube to see how to do it properly. Soap and water is the answer (seriously) and the next day the Mavic was done in 10 minutes and my front wheel (WTB) in another 10. Since then - 2 months later - no punctures whatsoever. Amazing! 04 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best 50 quid I've spent on my bike! When I opened the kit I was positive it wasn't going to work on my wheels as I was using a 26er kit on a 27.5 but tried anyway as a bloke at chain reaction said it would be ok! Took just over an hour from start to finish, used my wheels original rim tape and it worked first time no leaks. Would definately recommend using a compressor though!! Watch the videos on YouTube first makes life so much easier ! 07 December 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Expensive but does the job. Installed on Conti Ruber queens 2.2 and Mavic Crossride 2013 with no major difficulty, had to use the Stans rim tape other than that it blew up first try with a track pump, holds pressure well, u might want to but in slighlty more sealant fluid than they recommend, maybe half a cup extra. 15 August 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent kit. If you're having problems getting the tyre bead to seat on the rim a great tip is to use neat washing up liquid instead of diluted. Once I got set up no punctures so all good! 12 May 2013

Yes, this Kit would be suitable for most 26", 27.5" and some 29er Rims but, it would depend on the width of your Rim.

Answer:
Effectively yes, this kit can convert any rim as long as the rim tape is the correct width for the rim Internal Width and the valve tyre is correct.

Answer:
No; this kit is only suited for 21.5-24.5mm rims. The XM319 run a 19mm rim width, so you would be better suited to use a smaller kit, such as the NoFlats AM kit below.

Answer:
I've fitted this to a 650b variant of the xm319 with no issues. There's a fairly deep centre channel in that rim and the additional stretch in the rubber strip from 26" to 650 would seem to place the strip nicely between the rim edges.

Answer:
The MT55 run a 19mm internal width and 24.8mm external, so most standard kits will fit fine. For a Schrader valve you can pick up the individual strips/ sealant and valves.

Without a set of the wheels here to double check I can't be certain, but I believe the Radium MA wheels ran a variation of the Inferno 25 rim, whic has a 21mm inner bead width. If so, this kit should be fine to use, as would the No Flats AM kit below
