Answer:
No such thing that I'm aware of; straight stems tend to filter out around 80-90mm. Anything longer will usually have at least 5/6 degrees of angle, to support the correct riding position. If you need a 140mm straight stem, chances are your frame is too short for you.

Shorter stem for my Giant bike

Hi, I've installed the Easton Haven Carbon Riser Bar 2014 I ordered from you and tried them yesterday. Great bar. I'm thinking of getting a shorter stem for my 2012 Giant Anthem X2 bike small size (https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-au/bikes/model/anthem.x2/9711/52877/#specifications).
Any 65-70mm stem you would recommend? I'm not sure about the sizing so any suggestions is appreciated. Thank you in advance. Regards, Arn

Answer:
Looks like you have a 1 1/8" (28.6mm steerer diameter) stem for OS bars (31.8mm) on the Anthem. Stem choice will be down to your budget

Answer:
I've just paired my Easton haven carbon bars with a 55mm Easton haven stem on my 2012 Giant xtc 29er, it looks and feels great, make sure you get the 1 1/8 steered and 31.8 bar clamp, the shorter stem has made cornering much more responsive and a more comfortable ride as it has reduced the reach. Would definitely recommend an all Easton setup!

Which stem size?

I have a Pinnacle Ramin 4 XL size. I want to change the stem.
I have been informed that the steerer is 1 1/8 inch.

I don't know what diameter clamp to get as I can't find the technical info & Pinnacle have been less than helpful.

Thanks.

Answer:
Absolutely; while stems may be designed for/ aimed more at road or MTB riders, the bar standards will allow you to use any combination as long as the clamp sizes match.

Answer:
The length of a stem is measured from the centre of the steering clamp to the centre of the handlebar clamp. This is what is referred to as Stem Length. For example 80mm, 90mm, 100mm etc. Have a look at the diagram in the image below.
