Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Pedal I've only been riding XC for just over a year, and recently decided to step into the DH world, too. I purchased an Norco Aurum and was looking for something to stick on it that was going to be strong, grippy and suitable for wide shoes, in replace of the stock pedals that came on the Aurum. From a rider who is less experienced, these pedals seem really strong. I put them on and took them for a spin, and my feet never budged once. I wear Nike cross-trainers that get good coverage from the pedal width. They are extremely easy to service and maintain. The instruction manual explains how to grease them very easily. It literally took me 10-20 minutes to disassemble both pedals, grease them, and put them back together, plus they have self-lubricating bearings. If you're worried about price, I'll say this...If you purchase a bike in the medium-high end range, why would you put a $20 set of pedals on a 6K bike? In my opinion, they are worth the money. Time will tell how they hold up as I advance in my riding. As for weight, I can't comment as I don't really have any need for specific weight pedals. 23 June 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice grippy pedal If you can get yourself to spend the money on these pedals they wont disappoint. Nice and grippy and lite. Hopefully for the value of them they last a while. 23 June 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Top quality but pricy Incredible pedals, grips far better than both my saints and 50/50's very durable, looks great but incredibly expensive (for me anyway). Worth it for amazing pedals but you could make do with cheaper pedals and use the cash on something else. 24 February 2014
04 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Grandísimos pedales Muy buenos pedales. Base amplia y generosa. 04 November 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Strong, wide, grip After having 5 years of mostly DX pedals, which are very strong, I wanted something longer because sometimes I felt I lost control because most flats I tried had to small platform, Defacto are expensive, but definetly worth it, hope they will last me a long time. 15 October 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best pedel in bicycle history I love these pedals. They have all the features I am looking for when buying a product. They are bulletproof, need nearly zero maintenance and most importantly, they hold your foot as nothing else. It grips like crazy, even if your foot is not completely on the pedal they just won't slip. I have two pairs currently and have never maintained the one I use on my main bike, but the one that is on the other is like 4 years old and only needed to disassemble twice which was easy as a breeze. Absolutely recommended. Never mind the price it will pay back with time. Also support a company who makes the design and the manufacturing in-house. Way to go. Straitline seems to sustainable business. Straitline just p*sses excellence. :D 30 September 2013
