Rated 4 out of 5 by Simple but effective. I love products that 'just do the job'. This is one of them. The axle is well made, strong, light and simple. If it had QR I'd give it 5/5. Item is matt black. 09 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the money Just finished building a Giant reign x 2013 with a Hope pro 11 evo hub could not find a 12*135 straight through axle, this is perfect although it needs a 17mm spanner or socket to fit, remove it, its black and glossy and matches my frame colour perfectly, I run tubeless so heres hoping I wont need to remove it on the trail, there is a DT Swiss one at 40 quid. 22 February 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Weight of 12 x 150 mm version is 71 g. It is also black anodized, not naked alloy like on a picture (for me it is a big plus). I have Intense Socom and its droupouts are quite thin, so there was not enough thread length. So if you have thin dropouts, be prepared to either use washer or to extend thread yourself. Myself I used M12 spring washer. 07 December 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect and cheap Hope Pro 2 12mm axles snap if you use a Maxle light. The solution is to replace the maxle lite, with a regular Maxle (50 quid if you can find one as they arent made anymore), or the most regularly recommended replacement on the 'net is the Intense axle from BETD which is 45 quid. Or this, for £25. I bought it on a bit of a punt to see if it would suit (having converted a Pro 2 to 12mm to run on an Alpine 160) and it is perfect. The hex end of the axle has an Allen key hole in the end so you can tighten the axle with an allen key, and as I carry a cool tool tightening the bolt isnt an issue. 22 March 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice and stiff Not much to say really the axle is black has an 8mm socket at one end and a 14mm nut at the other fits perfect on the new 2010 reign. 04 September 2009
