Firstly, this headset is different to most with its parallel bearing design. it does not use a crown race, the flat (no angle contact point) sealed bearing hugs directly on the steerer, sitting on top of a large washer-like bottom case, fitting requires applying force in some way directly to the bearing unit. the flat bearing then presses into the cup. Compared to other headsets installing the fork is tedious requiring a few good wacks and pressure by overing torqueing the star nut till you hope its 100% seated. Once in it has a good feeling and is simple to adjust. but the design results in a very tight integration with all components. Lastly the unit doesnt look too wet weather proof, with minimal physical protection, there's a 1/2mm gap between cup and cap where you can see right into the bearings.
if you're not installing it yourself it seems a good unit and the price is attractive.

i don't know what the guy means about it being hard to get in. mine got in nice and easy with a block of wood. it is a great headset and is fully sealed. great for £18. i'd near enough pay full price for it.

Infamous for being hard to get in, it was a struggle. But it's smooth and tough so I'm happy with it. No problems besides squashing it into the head tube.
