Rated 4 out of 5 by OK bag, lots of space I bought this for my first trip abroad recently. It's a very big bag, but soft enough to manipulate through x-ray machines etc. The padding is OK, but I put in some cardboard either side to bulk it up a bit. The straps and wheels are OK, but overall the bag is a bit floppy for just pulling along on the wheels. Good storage options and decent wheel bags. I put helmet, clothes, snacks etc. in it and had loads of room left. It's also light which is great when the airlines are weighing all the cases! I'll probably put some plastic flexiboard in to strenghten it up a bit for future handling, but overall I think it's decent for the money. 14 May 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid Awesome bag. It is gigantic and survived the trip Canada-France without any problem. My XL frame fit right in it. Don't forget to unscrew and tie-wrap your dérailleur to your frame if you don't want your bike to sit on it during travel -_-. I had to walk 3 km to get to my room from the metro and well, carrying this bag is not as easy as I thought ahhaha. It weighted 28 Kilos and I almost died trying to find a comfortable way to carry it. Anyways, it's bomb proof and I would buy again. 03 January 2012

Answer:
yes, the Tifosi Bike Bag would be suitable for a 29er as there would be no Wheel bags supplied, the wheels and frame would sit in the same compartment but, if you wanted a fully compatible 29er bike bag I would recommend you have a look at the 'Evoc Bike Travel Bag 280L 2013' (linked below) as this would have separate wheel compartments and be well worth the money for bike securely during transportation.
