Rated 5 out of 5 by Does the job It's light, it does the job and looks discreet. I've got this fitted to my 105 front mech and it just works. It was quick and easy to fit. Just remove the braze-on screw and pop the catcher on. Doesn't work with band-on mechs 22 July 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Money I've spent!!! I bought this for my Sram Red f Mech and Have I've had no problems. Yes as the previous reviewer put the threads on Sram mech's are recessed which I checked 1st and the alloy bolt is to short for this mech (check before you fit I say) If your using a alloy or Ti bolt using this mech it must be 25mm long. On use this was simple to install, very neat, light weight and above all works a TREAT!! Especially when using it with Q-rings or similar as I am.Best money I've spent!!! 05 January 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by CAREFUL WITH SRAM I bought this product as it is cheap and very light. Which it is. It also works well. A notable competitor's product costs about £15 more. Initially I was happy with it. However one messy gear change later, it caught the chain, pulled the catcher off, stripped the thread off the bolt and damaged the thread inside my SRAM Red derailleur, fortunately not fatally. I think if you have Campy or Shimano this one should be OK, however all the SRAM derailleurs give you a few mm less internal thread to play with. The more expensive competitor's product has an XL (22.5mm) and an XXL(25mm) bolt compared to the standard 20mm, which grips MUCH better. If you have SRAM, DON'T get this product. And whatever your setup, DON'T use the lightweight aluminium bolt - the 1g weight saving is not worth the risk of damaging your derailleur. This product is definitely LESS adjustable than the more expensive alternative. Will not work well with Cervelo frames or any unusual-shaped seat tubes. 24 June 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice in any way Not just looks but it's a killer product in any way. Smooth and simple design. It looks fantastic in gold on the bike as well as been the best product to avoid chain from damaging the crankset and box. 19 June 2011

Answer:
No; these are designed to mount to the braze on mount for a double ring system (see picture below) so there will not be anywhere suitable to mount this on a regular clamp-on derailleur, sorry.

Answer:
These chain catchers mount to your braze on mount and the arm sits just inside the inner ring so the chain can't drop beyond it. It is only designed for use on a double ring road system.
