Rated 5 out of 5 by Jesse33 nice looking and flexible for fitting
My better half has a 29er and being short has her saddle very close to the frame. This means thats 1. we needed something with a small clamp and 2. something to give wheel clearance. we bought her one type which just would not adjust, as essentially the mounting has to be below the top of the wheel. This product does exactly that - it was really easy to fit and it looks great. The plastic is a little flimsy but I find all mudguards are, I guess for the lightness.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous Nice looking, but bad product
Ok, i installed this on my HD, went one the first ride of the season, and on the first jump, it came down on my rear tire and exploded. Literally exploded. The suspension came up, it flexed (too much) hit the tire and boom, gone just like that. Its a great looking fender, but just poorly built.

Does exactly what its supposed too. Also its the only decent mudguard I found to fit my 34.9mm Scott Spark seat post.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Best mudguard for hardtail
I only use rear guards on my hardtail and after after the bolt seized on my crud race i opted to this one. It is so much better. Easy to get in optimal position, very sturdy, good coverage and quick release means I can quickly take it off if it's dry. Can't fault it.

The guard itself is a good width and shape to stop nearly 100% from spraying up at you, though the two joints aren't strong enough for a hardtail on some rough stuff, anything rougher than cobbles will adjust the guard down onto the rear wheel for you, tightening it up more than specified in the instructions will end up pulling the threaded bolts from their mountings, i'm now looking around for a stronger product.

I got this along with the matching front mudguard, from crc of course, and i had it for about a month before i finally got on a trail with it. After the first time i used it, I noticed it was loose after I was cycling it the next day, and eventually as someone else had said, I clipped it with my foot getting off my bike one day and thats all she wrote, off it popped, broke the quick release. Probably my fault for going mountain biking with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Brilliant mud guard, I’ve never been so clean on wet/muddy rides before, it really works well and keeps the mud off my back and remains in place during hard rides. The quick release facility is very good as I can swop the guard to either bike without any fuss. I really would recommend this to anyone wanting to reduce the amount of mud on your bum after a good days riding. I’ve now been using this for two months and it is still as good as when I took it out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous The best
One of the best things I bought for my bike , was the mk2 mudguard, it's a little expensive, but brilliantly built, the rubber see-through edge is a great feature, looks good on my mountain bike, fully adjustable, so easy to fit, & performs well off road in the worst conditions, well done topeak !!!!!!
