Rated 1 out of 5 by Worked... ...well to start. Was looking for a cage that could take a Lucozade or other sports drink. Read that the bottom screw could come loose so used loctite. Plastic nut and bolt dissolved, so found a metal bolt, but and washer replacement. Then the cage fell off because the frame bolts had worn through the plastic fixing plate holes. Thought I'd try the metal version of this cage but returned before using as its heavy and you may as well bend a large bottle cage. Ideally someone should make a simple small bottle cage - it's not a big deal to swap cages to suit bottle size, and these cages are trying too hard to be all things and failing at all of them. 28 April 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Smart choice An excellent cage for riders who does not care about the component weight too much . Strong build. Very convenient bottle size adjustment. Holds the bottle tight thanks to the rubber grips ( I use 750 ml. one). Usual Topeak good quality. I have repaced few cages so far, but this one is way beyond my expectations. 07 February 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Очень удобный держатель Пользуюсь уже несколько месяцев, очень удобный держатель позволяющий использовать бутылки любого диаметра. Бутылка держится надежно, легко вставляется и вытаскивается из держателя. 12 October 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Does its job Decent cage, but I would recommend it only if you do Touring like me and need a cage for a 1.5L bottle because it fits. Otherwise it is bulky and on the heavy side. 01 September 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Хороший флягодержатель. 27 June 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid, clever This is far nicer than the basic Topeak Modula I have on my old bike. The metal gives it a very solid, sexy look, and the two modes of size adjustment (quick change & fine adjustment) make it incredibly easy to use. This one will be very hard to beat. 06 June 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not tried yet, but looks good Not mounted this yet, but delivery from Chainreaction was so fast and hassle free I had to write to congratulate. Best cycling website for purchase in the UK (at least from the big 3). Product itslef loks OK, but will see if the bottle stays in once i hit the rough stuff... 30 April 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent for MTB Have had one of these for a couple of years and I don't think I have ever had a bottle come out on a ride which is as much as you can ask for from one of these. Easy to fit, doesn't look bulky on the bike, doesn't drop your bottle half way down a fast, bumpy descent .... what more do you want? 24 February 2013

Answer:
The Topeak cage is adjustable to accept bottles with diameters ranging from 63mm to 74mm; you would need to check the diameter of your 1.5 litre bottle to see if it's likely to fit.

How Do You Mount This?

Maybe it's because I'm new to the cycling thing but when I received my Modula Cage II bottle holder, it only came w/ the cage/bottle holder but nothing to mount it. Am I missing something? How does one Get this securely attached to their bike? Do we need to buy extra equipment? If so what?

Answer:
The bolts to mount the bottle cage should be already threaded into the frame. These require being removed then re-threaded through the bottle cage to secure it.
