Rated 3 out of 5 by Nicole Convenient and does its job but with flaws
I've had one of these since 2008, purchased in a rush after losing my previous mini pump. For years I rode with it but didn't even try it; the first time I did so (at home) it did not work very well. I gave it a second try (at home) and it worked fairly well for a micro pump, inflating a road tyre to a very reasonable pressure — it impressed me the second time. This second test was after the pump received a significant whack and a small dent on one side.
A tiny pump like this is meant for convenience and roadside repair — it fits in a jersey pocket but it requires a lot of pumping to get a tyre inflated.
There is a frame-mount clip which mounts onto bottle cage bolts, and when installed the pump is tucked behind the water bottle, reducing its cosmetic impact. The clip has a very tight grip on the pump. There is an elastic band for security; the elastic is very tight and the part of the clip that it goes on has sharp edges which catch fingertips — installing the pump is not fun.
When mounted on the frame the pump rattles when going over rough roads or bumps; I found this very annoying. Adhesive tape wrapped where the top/handle loosely locks onto the body improves the fit and eliminates most of the rattling.
