This isn't a good product, and I regret wasting £3.99 buying it. I have a Kona Four Delux and wanted to fit a 750ml bottle into the front triangle so thought this was the answer. There are two problemws: (1) It's a very stiff action. The bottle cage flex is enough to get the bottle in/out. (2) Tried it with a Topeak Mono bottle cage - no bottle cage flex so the adapter does twist, however the extra thickness of the bottle cage and the ~10mm thickness of the adapter means that the 750ml bottle wont fit as it rubs on the top tube. Bad design. Try a Zefal Spring bottle cage instead. It works for me.

Rotate the X15 requires a little strength -just a little too much?- it is normal; you would not want to see your bottle cage move alone. But with a type of bottle cage, it does not work. You pull sideways on the bottle, the "X15 Adapter" does not rotate but the bottle is removed with difficulty from the cage. It is imperative that the bottle cage completely and firmly encloses the bottle , with the bottle cage named "Topeak Mono Cage", the "X15 Adapter" works, I suppose ... Otherwise a very good idea but the mechanical conception of the "X15" can be improved.

If you own a size SMALL Trek Remedy 08 like me (or any XS frames), where the bottle cage bosses are idiotically drilled too high up the down tube to be of any practical use (guess the Trek folks are pre-empting piggyback rear shock upgrade), this piece of plastic gem is a saviour! So far so secured. For my case, I can only use a 500ml Tacx bottle though, but good enough for extra fluid, or for pre-1st aid wound washing, or to flush out venom in the eyes from spitting cobras, etc etc, things that a CamelBack can't perform. Fantastic!
