Skate style helmet. The shape is well known already and we decided to add the «plus»: the small visor, cap style. The visor is clipped to an insert in the mold. This adds style without any compromise to security. This is a very comfortable helmet with its vents and its soft, removable and washable internal pads. It’s amazing weight makes you feel like you’re wearing a cap !!! This helmet is mainly fitted for alternative disciplines like Dirt, Street, Slope style, BMX... A good basic starter helmet. Wearing it for a while can get quite hot.

I bought the Dirt-O-Matic to use for DJ/park duties. It looks slightly different to most standard helmets (the detachable woolly peak is a nice touch) so as far as looks go it's pretty cool if you like that sort of thing. As far as protection is concerned it seems pretty sturdy, but thankfully I've not had to "test" it yet.
It's one size fit's all, and comes with a load of different sized foam inserts which work well to alter the size, but unfortunately this is also where the only problems I've had come from. For some reason the inserts are packaged zip tied together very tightly. This causes them to arrive completely out of shape and crushed, and unusable in the helmet. I left them open overnight but they didn't return to their original shape. I put them in a washing machine and whilst this returned them to the correct shape it removed the lining from the foam, meaning that they wouldn't stick to the Velcro in the helmet. This was easily repaired by gluing the lining back onto the foam.
The problem is that not only are the inserts unusable straight out of the box, but it also seems that they can't be washed either without falling to pieces, so it's likely to end up pretty smelly after a few rides.
It has the potential to be a really good helmet, and I suppose you do get what you paid for, but I can't give it very high marks since, whilst it's not especially expensive, it's certainly not the cheapest of these types of helmets and the design really has a few issues that need resolving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous good if your a baldy
As a baldy I wanted to let you know how good this helmet is. Others have said it's too hot for long rides, but with zero hair its a doddle. Add to this the feeling that it is a bit more protective of my shiny noggin and I can say I'm glad I own it.

Good helmet - solid and light-weight. A shame that it comes in uni-size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous Love it but upgrading
I have the 2011 and noticed its identical. Such a good fit and looks brilliant, however the pads need swapping/fixing within months and its too hot for anything but dirt jumping. Love it though but upgrading to the Enduro.
