Rated 5 out of 5 by use seatpost excellent bit of kit took 5 minutes to fit and out on the bike 04 September 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superb! Very good seat post, takes a bit longer to set up than normal (about 5 minutes) but holds very secure and after over 300 miles hasn't budged an inch. And boy does it look smart, very nicely finished and had quite a few comments on it's appearance, go and get one you'll love it! 11 November 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by oh dear Just received this poor excuse of a seatpost today. To my disappointment the head assembly is a joke. It won't fit the rails on my selle italia carbonio saddle. Even if it did I wouldn't have any faith in the thing staying secure for very long. The bolt is so thin and flimsy and only accepting a small allen key which would round out after tightening a couple of times. In short the person who ok'd this head design need taking out the back and giving a damn good horse whipping. Chain reaction this is now on its way back to you. Thanks but no thanks! 04 February 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I recently purchased this seatpost (silver 31.6mm) it was out of stock when i 1st wanted it,but they came in after they emailed me saying it was back in stock, which was brilliant service!,now for the seatpost... People have given negative reviews to the clamp its self, but after 5mins of getting it out of the packet it was fixed on and level on my trek 6500,had no problems fitting it to the standard bontrager seat,it looks the bees knees, light and brilliant 4 the price,i would recommend it to my granny if she needed a new seat post! 15 December 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by fucking set and forget its a damn good post, had some problems initially when i didnt tighten it enough, it seized when i crashed my ride, after which i made sure it was tightened to the correct force and its been working well without a hitch ever since 5 stars 10 March 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superb I bought a 420mm blue post in the flood sale for £35 and is a superb piece of kit. Saddle fixing was no issue and weighing 95kg have had no problem with saddle moving. Highly rated for XC riding. 09 March 2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by great variety of sizes I needed to use a DMR Trailstar for XC duties after my XC bike broke. At 420mm, this seatpost was the only one long enough to fit a 6'1 rider onto a 16" bike! (Thomson 410mm would have been on the limit and I'd prefer to have an extra cm of seatpost in the frame in any case). I found the clamp mechanism a little difficult at first, but use of a torque wrench has stopped it moving around without the worry of over tightening. The post has kept dead straight despite being at almost the minimum insertion and having to support 85kgs of rider. I broke the clamp at one stage, but I don't count that against the product, I went to a DH track without swapping the post out, landed a jump badly and bounced off the saddle hard. Thankfully spares are available at reasonable price and I trust this seatpost 100% for regular XC/AM use. 03 November 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by light and solid As a roadie this post is quality. You wont pick up a lighter post and although the fitting of the saddle took longer than others I've used it never needed adjusting afterwards. I'm just over 80kgs and this post is top drawer, especially at £55!! 26 October 2008

Single bolt or twin bolt?

Hi CRC.

Is the seatpost the newer single clamp bolt design with USE white logo towards the top of the post itself (as per their current website) or the much older seatpost with two bolt fixing and the words "alien aluminium" down the side of the post?

Thanks for your assistance.

Regards,

Laurie.
