Throw away that star washer! The Simple, lightweight and easier solution has arrived. USE patented allows for quick and easy adjustment of your stem or A-Headset. Head Set Adjustment Perfect, fine adjustment with a 4mm Allen bolt. The existing method of unclamping the stem is a poor and awkward solution. Steerer Damage Star washers and other clamp devices can seriously damage the steerer, compromising safety. Ring-Go-Star is the only product that will not damage the steerer in any way. This is extremely important for carbon steerers. Weight Reduction 25g complete with top cap. Replacing other adjusting systems, which are in excess of 65g. • Weight: 25g (complete) • Colours: Black, Silver, Blue and red • CNC Finish • Anodised inside and out • laser etched graphics • Suitable for 1 1/8 diameter steerer **Warning: Refer to the Ring-Go-Star instructions before fitting this product. Do not install this product if your steerer tube is too short.
Rated 4 out of 5 by clax bellissimo lato estetico
prodotto decisamente bello da vedere visto che viene eliminata la vite centrale. risulta un po snervante il montaggio ma ne vale decisamente la pena.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous Very fiddly and a little unreliable
This product is a pain to install as it requires significant preload on top of stem as the product's adjustment range is very limited. The stem must also be perfectly aligned as minor tweaking after preloading is not possible.
On several occassions my headset has worked a little lose. On the trail adjustment is very difficult. I now use a full bolt through preload adjustment system and keep the USE system for the top plug only.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous ORIGINAL, LEGER, MAIS PEU PRATIQUE

I've since binned it after the adjuster screw rounded out the thread.
the principle is fairly simple, and does solve the star nut issue, however the range of adjustment is paltry, and it's awkward to adjust - you have to push as hard as you can on the handlebars to compress the headset, tighten up the stem, all the while ensuring that the handlebars are straight. You then adjust it.
if you don't push hard enough you have to start again from scratch - repeated adjustments round out the thread.
I had an FSA orbit headset and I found it almost impossible to sufficiently seat the FSA's top spacer ring, so I could adjust it.

I have two of them bought on clearance. One of them worked well at first, but I think that the lower ring will strip out or lose strength because it is aluminum. If at least the bottom ring was steel, the whole thing might work better.

I have 3 of them and they work fine... The cap is very neat and the Ring-Go-Star works as a spacer too, adding 10 mm.

Own two – first one worked perfectly, the second one’s 2mm hex rounded out with almost no effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous Simply brilliant and brilliantly simple
Fit and forget - no more worries about damage to carbon steerers. Made to fine tolerances and appears delicate, but in practice is incredibly robust. Never had a problem.
