Rated 5 out of 5 by
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good I just bought USE Sumo XCR Shokpost medium hard, and I’m quite satisfy with it. You really can feel the difference after riding for several hours, special in those roads full of small stones and very irregular. It really helps to absorb all that movements that are really bad for you back, especially when you are becoming a bit old and your back speak louder than you. I surely recommend buying this product, it really worth the money. Enjoy it and good rides off road. 21 October 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Big Comfort Factor I prefer my aluminum hard tail to my full suspension, more responsive and reliable. But after rides (even short ones) my lower back is always sore. On a whim I got an older USE post from a friend (has the old style saddle mount) and am AMAZED at the difference. No more soreness. The movement seems natural and isn;t a problem for my pedaling. I just don't like the saddle mount on the old model, it's finicky and looks prone to catastrophic failure (ouch!). Now looking for a newer one with Sumo mount. Don't expect it to turn your bike into a full suspension. It won't, but it will improve comfort considerably and improve wheel contact a little bit. 16 August 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great addition to any hardtail.Makes my London commute way easier on the bum by reducing the frame vibration due to crappy road surface. 06 August 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Shock Seatpost Not really the same as a Full suspension, because you have no adjustment, but still a lot better than a REALLY HARD TAIL... :D Installed it for around six months on my wife's hardtail and she doesn't complain that much over rocky trails. The adjustment is a bit SIMPLE, not allowing the usual amount of TILT, but it has the right angle, so... not that bad. 30 April 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Brilliant Transforms the comfort of hard tails. Strong ,easy to fit ,not too heavy.,A cheap alternative to full suspension. 08 April 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by something to consider I ride hardtail, and for the most part that has been on an alu' frame. I have used USE posts in the past to smooth out the ride. I find trips over 30miles and it really helps. The new clamp is great, post is very well made, not to heavy, though still some side play. However.. girlfriend wanted to try the Sumo, so I used her Elite Thompson layback. And whilst losing the bounce, I found the post worked as a lever on the frame creating spring (I currently have a Ti' frame) also the Fzik saddle seemed more responsive under pressure. I suspect the Sumo's bounce can rob other properties of both frame and saddle. The verdict is out maybe my backside is just liking the change, or may I still need the Sumo on the big rides 30 to 100 miles kind of rides. And if you are on an alu or carbon frame then a rigid seatpost will probably not create much spring for you and a Sumo would be the best option. 18 May 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by recommended i have the earlier pre alien xcr and a sumo titanium rigid post and i think the combination of the xcr post with sumo head has to be a very good idea. i owned a thudbuster but the xcr has a nicer action and its moving parts are better protected 26 February 2008
